This mod allows you to delete the background black gradient color from all the containers e.g. chest, furnace, inventory,... and also deletes your chat background, if you dont like one or another you can just toggle each one with. this probably wont be ported over to 1.8, because mods like vanillaenhacnements have clearchat and oldanimations has clearinventory
