This mod adds a world type that does not spawn oceans. In order to use this world type, select "No Oceans" under world type when creating a new world.
And just like that, you'll get a world that doesn't spawn any oceans.
This mod is for Forge, and no support for Fabric is planned at this time.
1) Can modded dimensions still have oceans with this world type? (like with RFTools Dimensions)
2) Does this effect lava oceans in the nether? (is it possible for it to do so?)
3) Is there any way to collect coral?
4) Can structures like sunken ships still generate? (is it possible for it to do so?)
5) Are modded ocean biomes effected?
6) More questions possibly later. (I may be asking too many, but the mod may be extremely useful for me depending on these answers)
In reply to AbsorbingSafe11:
1. No, this only applies to the Overworld. Also RFTools Dimensions doesn't even exist for 1.16.4.
2. No.
3. No, since Ocean biomes don't generate.
4. No, since Ocean biomes don't generate.
5. Maybe. It depends on how the mod in question generates oceans, since all this mod does is modify the vanilla world generation to always return 1 (land) at the first step, and if the mod relies on that to generate oceans, it should work.
In reply to Abbyws:
Thank you for answering my questions and if I can find an ocean generating mod for 1.16.4 I will definitely use this one to make the overworld less covered in ocean. (My current world and the previous 3 have been 80% ocean and it has become really annoying.
