No More Spellbooks

An addon for Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks that frees you from carrying a spellbook. Learn spells from scrolls, build a personal loadout, and cast everything through Iron's normal spell wheel — no book in your hand, no book in your offhand, nothing equipped.

Features

• Learn from scrolls — Open the management screen, scan your inventory, and learn any spell straight from its scroll. The mod remembers the highest level you've learned for every spell.
• Install your own loadout — Install any learned spell at any level, from its minimum up to the highest you've learned. No slot cap — install as many as you like.
• Cast like normal — Installed spells appear right on Iron's spell wheel and cast keybinds. They're treated as if cast from a spellbook, so spells from other addons that require a spellbook source keep working.
• Plays nice with real spellbooks — Keep using actual spellbooks too; their spells still show up and cast normally alongside your installed loadout.
• Server-authoritative — Works in singleplayer and on dedicated servers. Your learned and installed spells persist through death and dimension changes.

How to Use

1. Bind the management screen keybind in Controls (unbound by default).
2. Open it, hit "Learn Spell", and learn spells from the scrolls in your inventory.
3. Install learned spells and pick the level you want for each.
4. Cast them through Iron's spell wheel — no spellbook needed!
   
   

Optional: scrolls are consumed on learn by default. Set consumeScrollOnLearn = false in the config to keep your scrolls.

FAQ

Does it remove spellbooks?
No. Spellbooks stay fully usable — this just gives you another way to cast.

Is there a limit on installed spells?
No slot cap. Install as many as you want.

Can I use it on a server?
Yes. The mod is server-authoritative and required on both client and server.
