Ever wanted to brag to your fellow players about your wealthy endeavours mining for various resources? Just got a little too many Diamonds in storage, but don't know what to do with it? Tired of having your house blown up or destroyed because you didn't invest in blast-proofing? Need a little power, but not too much? Maybe you just started playing, but simply just can't get enough wood to build a home, or maybe spruce up some Villages.
Nifty has got just the thing. It includes Stairs, Slabs, Fences, Trapdoors, Fence Gates, and Doors for your precious resources, such as Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Lapis Lazuli, Obsidian, and Redstone. Take it slowly with some other useful resources like Clay, Dirt, Grass, Hay, and Grass Path, perfect for the humble and primitive of constructions.
Now you can bask in the glory of your reinforced, bejewelled, and quite frankly expensive construction you could achieve with a bit of basic resources.
This server isn't about Nifty, but it links to the channel.
For the Sides...
This mod adds an interaction between Twilight Forest and The Betweenlands. When these two mods are present, you will gain some extra Nifty blocks. Note: If Twilight Forest or The Betweenlands is removed, the existing blocks will persist in existing worlds. Compat features only present where those and Nifty exist on the same version.
Found a bug in the 1.14.4 version. Upside down stairs will appear as normal right-side up stairs unless it's facing east. This was tested with emerald and diamond stairs.

Creating that many blocks for the Wool blocks will make the mod much more bloated, especially when other blocks that are coloured may be considered. It might be added, but maybe as a separate mod addon.
As for adding decorative blocks like Ladders, that might be more possible. Maybe alongside some other decorative features like Torches.
Can this missingno thing be removed? Somehow it bothers me

I've looked into making it optionally display in menus or being obtained as an item, but so far it's proving fruitless. They are Creative-only items, so in that sense it doesn't affect too much in terms of regular gameplay.Disregard. Working with an outdated Forge doesn't exactly help with implementing features.Cool and funny mod :P

I was doing some tests and noticed that:
CLAY, DIRT, GRASS and HAY trapdoors open when the player or a mob walk over it
When I use a chovel on the GRASS stair, slab or trapdoor I get the dirt texture instad of the dirt path one

Yep. Those particular blocks will do that because it was suggested to me. It kind of started as a suggestion for TF Compat where Trapdoors with Cloth, Slime, and Leaves materials would drop open, and then I made Ground and Grass do that, too. Kind of like having a hidden Trapdoor in the surroundings.
As for using the Shovel on the Grass Nifty Blocks, it was made that way so that it could be turned into Dirt Nifty blocks (a similar feature applies for Dirt -> Grass). I didn't implement Grass Path Nifty blocks.

Ok, thank you for the explanation.
About the GRASS PATH texture, in minecraft, when we use a shovel on a GRASS block it turns into a GRASS PATH block, so I thought that the GRASS blocks in your mod would beheave the same way, my bad.
BTW, Nifty depends on Forge to be installed, isn't it?

I know it's not as glamorous as the others, but have you ever considered making stairs and slabs of hay bale? It would be awesome to build a Terracotta house with hay bale roof.
