Nexus Network

Nexus is a network storage and automation mod: link vaults, terminals, machines and energy with colored cables, store items, fluids and FE, autocraft on demand, move and place blocks, set per-player access, and join networks wirelessly across dimensions.

Nexus: network storage and automation

Nexus is a network storage and automation mod. One controller, the Nexus, ties colored cables, storage, power, machines and terminals into a network. What the network holds is reached from any terminal, and the network crafts, moves and places things for you.

A world can hold any number of independent networks, each with its own name, color and list of players who may use it. Nexus also has its own way up from the first steps: a Coal Generator and a Compressor make the plates that everything else is built from, then machines, metals, a network, storage and automation follow stage by stage.

Features

Network

  • The Nexus controller shows the name, color, energy and devices of its network, and an energy tab lists what every device draws, supplies and pays.
  • Cables in all 16 dye colors; cables of different colors run side by side without joining.
  • Roles (Owner, Admin, User, Guest, Blocked) and per-player permissions. Devices work on behalf of the player who placed them.
  • Wireless: a Network Transmitter and Receiver linked by a Network Card carry a network between places and dimensions; a Nexus Link reaches carried terminals, up to 512 blocks with Range Upgrades.
  • The Nexus Analyser shows what a device does: what a Puller moves a second, the work of a machine, the fuel of a generator, the crafts of an Assembler.

Storage

  • External Vault turns the chest beside it into network storage, the first storage you can build.
  • Storage Vault holds 16 Vault Cells for items, fluids and energy, in six sizes from 1k to 512k, each with a whitelist or blacklist filter and a priority.
  • Terminal, Crafting Terminal and Blueprint Terminal sit on a cable. Search understands @mod, #tag and $tooltip, with ! to exclude and | for "or".
  • The portable Nexus Terminal works anywhere a Nexus Link of its network reaches, on a charge that an Energy Cell restores.

Autocrafting

  • Blueprints encode crafting and machine recipes, with substitutes for items of a tag.
  • The Assembler crafts on its own or hands work to a furnace or a machine from another mod. Orders from a terminal show a plan first; the Crafting Monitor lists running tasks.

Automation

  • Puller and Pusher move items, fluids and FE between the network and the block they face, with filters, redstone modes, delivery order and keep-in-stock amounts.
  • Placer and Remover place, break and pick up blocks in front of them.
  • Upgrades: Speed, Stack, Regulator, Capacity, Range, Dimension, Fortune, Silk Touch, Autocrafting, Chunk Loader, Efficiency, Buffer and Void.

Power and machines

  • Energy in FE: Energy Cells in four tiers, five generators (Coal, Lava, Steam, Biofuel, Nether Star) and a priority that decides which source is used first. Work on the network costs FE; idle devices pay nothing.
  • Energy Furnace, Crusher, Pulverizer, Compressor, Alloy Smelter and Extractor, each in four tiers.
  • Steel, Cobalt, Mithril and Hellsteel with tools, armor and trims, the alloys Voltsteel, Lumen and Aether, and a Nexus Crystal found underground.

Settings and integration

  • A server config sets how much energy generators make and machines use, what operations cost, what the portable terminal holds, how far a Nexus Link reaches and how many chunks a network may keep loaded.
  • JEI and REI recipe transfer, Jade and The One Probe information. English, Russian, Spanish, German and French.

Requirements

NeoForge 26.2 and GeckoLib 5.5.x.
