# Netherite ARMOR Bar

**Netherite ARMOR Bar** is a lightweight client-side Minecraft Fabric mod that changes how Netherite armor is displayed in the vanilla armor HUD.

## ✨ What does this mod do?

In vanilla Minecraft, Diamond and Netherite armor provide the same amount of armor points and are displayed using the same armor icons in the HUD.

This mod makes Netherite armor visually stand out by displaying the armor points provided by Netherite armor in a **golden color**.

The normal Minecraft armor HUD stays exactly where it normally is. There is no additional HUD, no new armor bar and no changes to the actual armor values.

### 🛡️ How it works

Each piece of Netherite armor contributes its normal vanilla armor value:

- **Netherite Helmet:** 3 armor points
- **Netherite Chestplate:** 8 armor points
- **Netherite Leggings:** 6 armor points
- **Netherite Boots:** 3 armor points

Only the armor points coming from Netherite armor are visually highlighted in gold.

For example, if you are wearing:

- Diamond Helmet
- Netherite Chestplate
- Diamond Leggings
- Netherite Boots

the armor HUD will show the Diamond armor points normally, while the armor points contributed by the Netherite Chestplate and Netherite Boots are displayed in gold.

## 🎨 Normal armor icons remain unchanged

The mod does **not** turn the entire armor bar gold just because you are wearing one Netherite item.

Only the corresponding Netherite armor points are highlighted.

This also works with partial armor icons, such as half armor points.
