INTRODUCTION

- Welcome to Nether's Exorcism! this mod aims to add new interesting and balanced features to minecraft's existing nether, while keeping its aesthetic, this mod expands on the nether by adding 3 new Biomes, each filled with unique features, mobs, blocks, and more. With this mod I aim to bring balanced and well designed features, that's why I listen to you! if you have any ideas for new features, or rebalancing of existing ones, you can come to the discord and talk about them! i will gladly take advice.

FEATURES
- Biomes:

The Dna Forest is an abomination of nature itself, created from the brewings of ancient overworld witches in an attempt to cure the Crimson Forest. their experiments failed, the crimson forest got corrupted and later spread to other parts of the nether.
This forest inhabits new creatures, some hostiles, some peaceful, lurking between the trees.......

MOBS

STRAMPLER

The Strampler is a result of the witche's failed experimentations, to make the potion that was supposed to cure the Crimson Forest, they used sniffer DNA, but when it failed, it mixed with the surrounding hoglins, combining the physical aspect of the Sniffer with the Hostile nature of Hoglins....

--BEHAVIOR:

-Hunting:
The Strampler is a Hostile Mob, it will charge its preys and kill them, Stramplers hunt Indigo Salamanders, but will also attack the player and any entity that attacks them. Stramplers can also scream randomly to intimidate other stramplers.

--LOOT:
Stramplers can drop Strampler Spikes or a single Strampler Heart:
- Strampler Spikes can be used to craft a Strampler Spike Shield and the music disc of the biome
- Strampler Hearts can be used to corrupt a Sniffer Egg

--TAMING:
-strampler eggs:
Stramplers cannot directly be tamed, however, by right clicking a Sniffer Egg with a Strampler Heart, you can corrupt it, after a while, it will become a Strampler Egg.

A Strampler Egg will Hatch in 20 Minutes if put on an Indigo Wart Block, otherwise it will hatch after 60Minutes.

A Baby Strampler will hatch out of the Strampler Egg, you can make him grow faster by feeding him Raw Indigo Salamander Tail, or just wait.

-Adult Passive Strampler
note: Strampler Hatched From Corrupted Eggs are completely passive and do not have Spikes, they Inherited a larger part of Sniffer DNA during corruption.

Once Adult, you can tame the Strampler with Raw Indigo Salamander Tail. you can then put a saddle on it by Shift + right clicking on it to open its UI.

Using a Raw Indigo Salamander Tail on a Stick, and right clicking a Tamed Strampler, you can switch between 3 modes, sit, wander and follow.

Tamed Stramplers can also be equipped with various Strampler Armors, that acts both as a saddle and as protection.

While riding a Tamed Strampler, you have The abillity to jump by pressing space, a jauge in your hotbar will show you when the jump ability can be used again after cooldown.

INDIGO SCYPHOZOA

The Indigo Scyphozoa are fungi from the crimson forest that mutated and evolved into flying jellyfish with glowing properties that surely came from some of the witche's ingredients used in their potion.

--BEHAVIOR:
Indigo Scyphozoas are completely passive, even though they evolved from a plant into a living creature, they did not develop a complete brain. they usually float around in the sky of the DNA Forest.

--LOOT
Indigo Scyphozoas have a 1/3 chance to drop Glowing Jelly.
-Glowing Jelly can either be used to craft a Jelly Baloon or to brew Glowing potions.

INDIGO SALAMANDER

Indigo Salamanders are not a direct result of the witche's failed experiments, they are a life form that developped by itself after some time, although we could argue that they have some DNA in common with axolotls......

--BEHAVIOR
Indigo Salamanders are passive creatures, they are easily scared by the player and will run away if you approach them, they will also run away from Stramplers.

-Nests
Salamanders can be found in nests made out of nest block and Indigo wart Block, if an Indigo Salamander sits on a nest block, it will go to sleep, while sleeping, Salamanders can be approached easily.

-Transportation
Salamanders and Baby Salamanders can both be bucketed by right clicking on them with empty Bucket.

--TAMING

Indigo Salamanders can be tamed by feeding them Indigo Fungus, they can also be bred using the same fungus.

Once Bred, they will lay a random amount of eggs between 1 and 4.
Salamander Eggs, can only be harvested with Silk Touch.

A Salamander Egg will take 10 minute to hatch if placed on a nest block, otherwise it will hatch in 30 minute.

--LOOT
Indigo Salamander will always drop one Raw Salamander Tail.

Raw Salamander Tails can either be cooked into Cooked Salamander Tails or brewed into Poison Potions.

BLOCKS

The DNA Forest is home to numerous blocks and plants, mainly mutation due to the witche's potions, wich transformed the trees and plants entirely.

--INDIGO WOOD

Indigo Wood is just like any other Nether Wood, but it has a purple-ish color, with unique door and trapdoor design, the only blocks missing from the palette are the sign and hanging sign.

--PLANTS

The DNA Forest is full of plants, they are a mutation of crimson plants, caused by the witche's experimentation on the biome, most of those plants have no effect ingame whatsoever.
The only ones with a function are the DNA Vine and Indigo Fungus, The DNA vine is DNA sequence shaped vine you can grow and climb, and the Indigo fungus can be grown into an indigo tree.

--OTHERS

There are some other blocks in the DNA Forest, like the Indigo Shroomlight, Indigo Nylium, or Indigo Nether Wart Block, or the Nest Block.

Indigo Nylium can be bonemealed to grow plants from the DNA Forest, like normal nylium, it can spread by bone mealing Netherrack next to the nylium block, it can only be picked up with a silk touch pickaxe.

Indigo Nether Wart Block and Nest Block can both be used to speed up egg hatching for Stramplers and Salamanders

Nest Blocks are also a Block where Indigo Salamanders can Sleep.

ITEMS

--STRAMPLER ARMORS

Strampler Armors act both as a saddle and an armor, some can be crafted and other can be found in structures.

The Strampler Crab armor (number 6, bottom right), protects stramplers from radiation and plant poisoning.

--STRAMPLER SPIKES

Strampler Spikes are Dropped From Wild Stramplers upon death, as of right now they only serve one purpose, to craft a Strampler Spike Shield.

-Music Disc: Genetic Miracle

This Music disc is called "Genetic Miracle", it was composed by @Pufferfish, you can craft it as shown above.

-Strampler Spike Shield

Strampler Spike Shield will block attack like a normal shield, but will also decrease temporarily by 10% one of 3 genetic traits of the enemy at random, those three genetic components are, Attack Damage, Movement Speed, and Max Health. The Shield can also be enchanted with a new Enchant called Genetic anomally, each level of Genetic Anomaly will add 10% to the percentage decreased, at level 5, Genetic anomally will decrease by 60% a genetic trait. It can also be enchanted with unbreaking and mending.

--GLOWING JELLY

Glowing Jelly is Dropped by Indigo Scyphozoas, it can be used as a food item, replenishing 2 hunger bar and 0.8 of saturation, it can also be brewed into Glowing Potions, and crafted into a new item, the Jelly Baloon.

-Jelly Baloon

The Jelly Baloon can be used by right clicking in the air, it is useful if you fall from a high place, it will pop out under you and levitate for 15 seconds, saving you from death in lava, it has 3 use before breaking.

Baloons can be enchanted with a new enchant called Lasting Baloon, each level will add 15 seconds to the time it stays before despawning. Lasting baloon level 3 will make you levitate for 1 minute.

--SALAMANDER TAILS

Raw Salamander Tails are dropped by Adult Indigo Salamanders upon death, if eaten raw, they will poison you, although they can be cooked and will give you the Instant cure effect.

Instant cure will remove every negative effect as long as Instant cure is still applied.

note: as of version 1.1, only vanilla and nether exorcism negative effect are removed.

The BioHazardous Deltas is a perilous landscape, reminiscent of the progress of an ancient crab civilisation who once ruled the nether deltas, who in quest of power turned their habitat into a radioactive hell, mutating the plants and animals, including themselves.

The Deltas air is poisoned by radiation, this means that if you stay too long whitout proper protection you will start to die from radiations. there are items used to remind you of your time left before radiation start affecting your body.

--Mobs

-Basalt Crab

Basalt Crabs are whats left of the Crab civilisation, after their mutation, they lost their intelect and became passive rock giants, roaming the deltas with their enormous shell
--BEHAVIOR
Basalt Crabs are peaceful giants, they roam the deltas draging their huge body around.
they do not have any special behaviour as of update 1.1, but will get new behaviours in the future.
--LOOT
Crabs can either drop Basalt Geysers, Basalt, or more rarely a Crab Shell Shard.

-Crab Shell Shards can be used to craft Crab armor, biohazardous deltas music disc, and can be compacted into a Shell block.

-Brogg

Broggs were once blazes roaming the skies of the deltas, when radiations appeared, it transformed them into Broggs, blazes radiating green energy and protecting themselves with shields.

--BEHAVIOR
Broggs are agressive creatures and will attack the player on sight by launching radiant charges at them. If a radiant charge touches the player, it will disperse a cloud of radiation that will stay there for some time.

-Shield Mechanic
Broggs Naturally have 4 basalt shield around their body, as long as they have any shield left, they will not take damage, when dealing damage to the brogg there is a 1/3 chance for a Shield to break

-Blaze mutation

Since Broggs are Blazes that mutated due to radiation, you can transform blazes into Broggs by getting them irridiated by Radiant cephalotus spores.
--LOOT
Broggs can either drop Basalt or Brogg Rods.

-Brogg Rods can be turned into Uranium Dust

--Blocks

-Basalt Geyser

Basalt Geysers generate in the deltas on top of basalt collumns, if walked on it will propulse any entity in the air and burn them, items will burn too, you can obtain it by breaking it with a silk touch pickaxe, if broken whitout, it will cause a small damage only explosion.

-Radiant Cephalotus

Radiant Cephalotuses grow on radiant nylium, they are toxic plants that will explode into a poisonous cloud if stepped on or broken, they can be sheared to prevent this and will drop Radiant Gland.
if the Cephalotus explodes or is sheared, it will regrow after some times.

-Other Blocks

-Radiant nylium

Radiant Nylium generates in patches in the BioHazardous Deltas, it can only be picked up with a silk touch pickaxe. Nylium can be spread by bone mealing neighboring basalt block. it can also be bonemealed to grow plants from the Deltas.

-Small Radiant Shroom

Small Radiant Shrooms are patches of shroom that grow on radiant nylium, they can be bonemealed from 1 small patch to a patch of 4 on one block, just like pink petals. they also emit a small light

--Items

--BROGG ROD

Brogg Rods are Dropped by Broggs, they can be transformed into Uranium dust, and also used to craft strampler Crab Armor and Normal Crab Armor.
Uranium dust is used to craft Radiant Charges, but also The Geiger Counter.

-Geiger Counter

The Geiger Counter is used to signal the player of how much time they have left before radiation start affecting them. the time before radiations start to affect the player is set to 8 minutes, every 1/6th of this time, the counter will go up one bar until full, while this happens, a beeping sound will go exponentially faster the more you get near the end.

-Radiant Charges:

Radiant Charges dont have a direct use, they are only used as part of the craft for Toxic Bombs.

--RADIANT GLAND

Radiant Gland are Harvested by shearing a Radiant Cephalotus, they can be used to craft Toxic Bombs.
they can also be turned into Cephalotus seeds, which can be planted on nylium and will grow into radiant cephalotus

-Toxic Bombs

Toxic Bombs are launchable projectile that will explode into a cloud of Plant Poison, it can be crafted with 2 iron nuggets, 2 Radiant Gland and 1 Radiant Charge.

--CRAB SHELL SHARD

Crab Shell Shards can be used to craft Crab armor and Strampler Crab Armor, it can also be compacted into a Shell Block, or it can be used to craft the Biohazardous Music Disc.

-Crab Armor

Crab armor can be crafted with crab shell shards, and Radiant Gland, and Brogg Rods.
Crab Helmet protects the player from Plant Poisoning, while the Chestplate Protects the player from overtime radiations.

-Music Disc

This Music Disc is called "DreadFull Tunes", it was also made by @Pufferfish, you can see the craft as shown above.

The Turquoise Plains is a mystical plain of the nether, once a normal warped forest, Piglin Wizards used this place to practice Dark Magic, changing this place to its core. The piglin shamans cursed this forest before disapearing.

--MOBS

-HellStingers

HellStingers are mystical Wasp roaming the skies of the Turquoise Plains, they are protected by their exoskeleton made of bones, they live in groups around their hives located in Turquoise Bamboo Trees.

--BEHAVIOR
Hellstingers are neutral insects, they will only attack the player if they get attacked first or if you break their Hive or nearby wild Turquoise Gourds.

-Special attack

HellStinger Have a chance to grab the player with their Dart when attacking, once they grabbed you, they will go up into the air and drop you. they have a chance to break their Dart by doing this, if their dart breaks, it will drop as an item, when a Stinger's Dart is broken, the stinger will be unable to attack for the rest of its life.

-Polinating

If not Angry at the player, HellStingers will begin to search for Wild Turquoise Gourd to extract Pollen from,once they've extracted enough pollen, their texture will change to have pollen on their abdomen, they wil lthen go back to their Hive and fill it up until its full, if a HellStinger Hive is full, it will not try to find more pollen. Hellstinger hives are assigned to them if they do not have one, this means that if you break their Hive, they will connect to another nearby one and will start to polinate it.

--LOOT
HellStingers will not drop any loot upon death, the only loot they can drop is their Dart.

-Turquoise Roarer

Turquoise Roarers are passive Long-Legged Giants Roaming the Plains. Their Legs are made out of tree logs, they were crafted by the Piglin WIzards a long time ago when practicing voodoo magic.

--BEHAVIOR
Turquoise Roarers are a peaceful species, while they are imposant in size, they shouldnt be considered a threat, if hurt they will only respond by roaring to try and scare the enemy away.

-Roaring

The Turquosie Roarer has two types or Roar, the first one is in response to aggression, it will give the player weakness, slowness, and push him away.
The second Type is Induced by Feeding roarer's with any plant from the Turquoise plains, it will temporarly pacify any HellStingers nearby
--LOOT
As of Version 1.1, Turquoise Roarers do not drop anything, their only use is their roar, but new features for this mob are in the work for Version 1.2.

-Turquoise Drifter

Turquoise Drifter are very Hostile Mystic Golems, they were originally peaceful Protectors crafted by the Piglin Wizards to protect them, but in the spell used for their creation, they used souls from the soul sand valley, making the Drifter Unstable, it started to rebel against its makers, killing them one by one, transforming their souls into more drifters, The last wizard managed to seal all of them in the form of eggs. but those beast can awaken at any moment if not careful....

--BEHAVIOR

Drifters are Hostile towards the player, it has 3 attacks/ability, the first one, allows them to teleport themselves behind you if you are too far away trying to escape. their attacks are an AOE smash on the ground damaging the player and other nearby entities, aswell as a bite attack where the drifter grabs the player and bites him, with a chance to inflict the Drifting Paralysis effect.

--SPAWNING

Drifters Will crawl out of their eggs, those eggs can be found in groups of 3 inside Drifter Fossils, along with a Drifter Vault.

--LOOT
Turquoise Drifters only drop One Drifter Bone Key, those can used on Drifter Vaults, each vault can be opened 3 times.

--BLOCKS

--Turquoise Wood

Turquoise wood can be made from turquosie bamboo log, it has a unique door and trapdoor pattern, the only missing blocks from the wood palette are hanging signs and signs.

--Drifter Vault

Drifter Vaults can be found in Drifter Fossils, they can be opened with a Drifter Bone Key, dropped by Turquoise Drifters, One vault can be opened up to 3 times and will drop items from a loot table, including, the Drifter Eye, Drifter Bone, Drifter Smithing Upgrade, or even The Turquoise Plains Music Disc. This Block is unbreakable and cannot be moved with pistons.

--HellStinger Hive Blocks

HellStinger Hives can sometimes be found at the bottom of Turquoise Trees, they consist of The HellStinger Hive and HellStinger Hive Block, HellStingers Hive can be polinated by a HellStinger if it chose the block as its Home Hive, once a Hive is full, you can shear it to get Hellish Wax, but if you do not put a campfire below the Hive, HellStingers will get angry at you

note: if hellstinger are pacified by a roarer, they will not attack you

--HellWax Lantern

HellWax Lanterns can be crafted using Iron ingots and Hellish Wax Block, they can be placed on the ground or hanging on a block or a chain, once placed they can be powered with Hellish wax or Hellish Wax Blocks, 1 Hellish Wax item will power the lantern for 10 minutes, while 1 block will power it for 40 minutes, when powered, it will clear all fire blocks in a 20*20*20 area, you can also switch between two modes by shift + right clicking, it will switch between "allow fire" and "forbid fire", "allow fire" will give fire resistance to all entity in the 20*20*20 area but will let fire blocks spread, while "forbid fire" will just block any fire block.

the Lantern is very useful to build in the Nether with wood for example, The powering of Lanterns is compatible with Create Mod's deployer.

--Plants

-Turquoise Gourds

Turquoise Gourds can be found in patches inside the Turquoise Plains in the form of Wild Turquoise Gourd, you can break them to get Turquoise gourds, you can also carve them with shears, or also craft a jack'O Gourd with a torch and a Carved Turquoise Gourd.

note: i plan on adding food with this, like gourd pies
-Others

The Turquoise plains is also home to other plants like the Turquoise Spire Plant or the Turquoise Fungus, which can be grown into a Turquoise Tree

--Others

There are two other blocks in The Turquoise Plains, Turquoise Nylium, which can be bonemealed to grow turquoise vegetation, but also spread to nearby Netherrack. and the Turquoise Wart Block spawning on Turquoise Bamboo Trees.

--ITEMS

-Drifter Smithing Upgrade

Drifter Smithing Upgrades can be dropped by Drifter Vaults, they can be used to upgrade Netherite armor to Drifter Armor.

-Drifter Armor

Drifter armor is an upgraded version of Netherite Armor, being slightly more resistant and durable, it allows the player to use the Drifter's TP ability, if the full set is worn, the player can press a keybind (G by default), if there are entities nearby, it will tp you to the nearest one, this ability has a cooldown.

-Drifter Eye

Drifter Eyes can be dropped by Drifter Vaults, they are the rarest loot to get, they can be used to Upgrade a Netherite ChestPlate to a Drifter Chestplate.

-Drifter Bone

Drifter Bones are a pretty common loot dropped by Drifter Vaults, they are used to Upgrade Netherite Leggings, Boots and Helmet to Drifter Armor.

-Music Disc

This Music Disc is called "Mystic Blues" it is the third disc composed by @Pufferfish, it can be obtained pretty rarely in Drifter vaults.

--ADITTIONAL FEATURES

Creative /dimtp command:
allows the player to tp to a dimension, useful to me for testing.

Mob Hats:

there are 3 mob hats, obtainable by killing each mob with a charged Creeper, those 3 hats are; The Strampler, The Basalt Crab, and the Hellstingers.
