NeoOrigins Glide Compat
A tiny client-side fix that makes gliding work again when other mods get in the way. Works for NeoOrigins origins that glide without an elytra (Elytrian, Phantom, Hiveling, Windwalker...), Clockwork wings and the vanilla elytra.
Fix 1: NeoOrigins + Clockwork
NeoOrigins and Clockwork both use a Mixin @Redirect on ItemStack#canElytraFly inside LocalPlayer#aiStep. Mixin can only apply one redirect per call, so the NeoOrigins one gets skipped and your log shows:
@Redirect conflict. Skipping neoorigins.mixins.json:client.LocalPlayerNaturalGlideMixin
Result: pressing jump mid-air does nothing and natural-glide origins can't fly. This mod adds a MixinExtras @ModifyExpressionValue on the same call that chains on top of whichever redirect won and also allows gliding when the player has the NeoOrigins natural_glide capability. Clockwork wings keep working.
Fix 2: Create Jetpack "Active Elytra" keybind (new in 1.1.0)
Create Jetpack (FlightLib) adds an Active Elytra keybind. When it is bound to any key, jump no longer opens wings or elytra, only that key does. In a modpack this breaks gliding for every player who doesn't know about the setting.
From 1.1.0, pressing jump mid-air always starts gliding, like in vanilla. The Active Elytra key keeps working too, so players can use either one. All the normal checks still apply (airborne, not in water, has wings/elytra/natural glide), nothing new is unlocked.
Details
- Does not modify NeoOrigins, Clockwork, Create Jetpack or any other mod
- Client-side only (harmless if installed on a server)
- Requires NeoOrigins, NeoForge 1.21.1
- Tip: don't put Active Elytra on Space. Create Jetpack treats that key as a toggle, so every jump while gliding would stop your flight.
