I am aware of the effect that Artificial Intelligence has had on the gaming, content creation, and game modding scene lately. This mod was created as a showcase of the capabilities of Artifical Intelligence, and I have no intention on ever attempting to monetize it in any way, shape, or form. I am a supporter of learning how to create, and the human touch is valuable to me.

The idea is MY idea, the logo and thumbnail are my creation. The description is my writing.
This mod was CODED utilizing OpenAI's Codex, using the ChatGPT 6.1 Sol model.


Welcome to Negativity!
Negativity is a Minecraft mod that slowly strips the world of all life (and color!), and, ultimately, the player.

On day 5 of your world, an alien spaceship crashlands nearby. Inside is a device that will seal your fate forever. 

Should you interact with the device, you will notice that the world slowly begins to change each day. First are the peaceful mobs. Then, the hostile ones. Eventually, you. Each day, the world will start turning black and white, and mobs will begin to disappear in small groups.

I guess this mod could be considered a slow-burn? It spans a total of 56 in-game days, including the initial 5 day countdown and then the 51 of the mod. After the 51 days, the world is permanently locked once you die. There is no way around it.

Mod Breakdown - The Days

Day -1 through -4 doesn't have an effect on anything but the colors in the world.

Day -5 through -20 see all passive and neutral mobs disappear completely from the world.

Day -25 through -29 have almost triple hostile mob spawns. The picture below is day -33, on easy difficulty.

Day -30 through -40 see hostile mobs slowly dissapear, again in small groups each day.
Also on day -40, the world is fully stripped of all color.

From day -41 through -50, all plant life begins to wither away from the whole world, literally being deleted from it. Each day removes a little more. At this stage, it is highly likely that you can't grow any more crops. Hope you stocked up!! On day -50, absolutely all plant life is gone. Every grass block is turned to dirt, there's no trees, there's no kelp, there's no anything. It's just YOU.

On day -51, the final encounter of the mod occurs! No spoilers here.
