NDI Stage Displays 1.1.2-beta.1

Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge 47.x · Java 17 Ship ndidisplays-1.20.1-1.1.2-beta.1-all.jar (the jar without -all has no NDI bindings).

New

  • Spherical LED Screen. One mount block draws a video globe of any diameter from 0.5 m to 32 m. Your feed wraps around it as an equirectangular map, so a 2:1 panorama reads correctly from every side, with the frame's centre on the block's facing side and the seam at the back. Same processor GUI as the round screen: source picker, pitch, brightness, test patterns, crop window, NDI configuration card and Theatrical 2-channel DMX. The native resolution readout tells you the exact 2:1 frame to feed it.
  • Curved screen: hide the mount. A new Mount toggle in the curved screen's config makes the centre hub invisible, leaving only the video arc. Perfect for a floating arc or a 360° column with an empty core. A small hitbox stays so you can still hover the centre and reopen the settings.
  • LED inner corner cabinet for concave 90° turns. Swap it with the outer corner in the crafting grid, or sneak-click a placed one.
  • Creative tab icon. The mod's tab now has its own logo.

Bending walls rebuilt

  • Chamfers and corners join the cabinets they actually touch. Flat cabinets sit at the back of their block. The wall scanner used to look for joins at the front edge, nearly a full block ahead of the real screen, so a 45° chamfer only merged with a run when placed a block away from it, and a ring of runs and chamfers built flush fell apart into one wall per side. Build them touching and they merge now.
  • Two straight runs meeting at a 90° corner merge into one screen. The picture wraps the corner as a hard fold. Add a corner cabinet if you want a curve instead. Back-to-back screens still stay separate.
  • Closed rings render once. A ring used to be drawn once per cabinet, all stacked and z-fighting. Every cabinet now agrees on a single wall.
  • Clean bends. Video faces sit on their cabinet's real screen plane instead of floating in front of it. Flat-to-chamfer joins are mitred, and the wedge between the two cabinet bodies behind the mitre is filled in, so the corner reads as one solid cabinet from any angle. The chamfer slab now runs forward from its diagonal like a flat runs forward from its back edge, so nothing pokes out behind a bend.

Fixes

  • Removed a stale corner cabinet loot table that logged a parse error on every world load.
  • Apple Silicon Macs get live NDI through a bundled arm64 native.
  • Camera range is configurable in the client config and on the mod's options page.

Heads up

  • Corner cabinets now join the flat whose cabinet they physically touch, one cell over from before. Existing corner builds may need the neighbouring flat moved one block.
  • Two flat runs that touch at a convex 90° corner now become one screen. Leave a gap if you want them independent.
