Navarone Engineering – Release Notes

Version 1.0.0

This release expands Navarone Engineering’s role as a structural backbone for the Periodicraft modpack, introducing core industrial machines that reinforce early, mid, and advanced progression.

🏭 New Industrial Systems

🔥 Bloomery

An early-stage iron processing structure designed for primitive metallurgy.
Processes magnetite and hematite into wrought iron through staged thermal reduction, replacing simplistic early smelting paths with a more grounded progression.

🧱 Primal Crucible

A primitive high-temperature melting system.
Allows controlled melting of early alloys and metals before the player reaches more advanced industrial setups. Designed to bridge the gap between basic furnaces and full-scale industrial processing.

☢ Nuclear Reactor

A structured multiblock reactor system focused on industrial-scale energy production.
Designed with progression in mind, preparing the path for high-tier industrial automation and complex chemical chains.

🌫 Sulfide Furnace

A dedicated sulfide roasting unit.
Processes sulfide ores such as chalcopyrite into oxides while producing industrial byproducts like sulfur dioxide and flue gases. Introduces realistic metallurgical transitions instead of direct furnace outputs.

⚗ Chemical Reactor

A multiblock processing unit for advanced chemical transformations.
Handles structured input/output logic, fluid management, and industrial reaction chains including brine processing, oxide treatment, and gas-stage handling.

⚙ Design Philosophy

Navarone Engineering continues to focus on:

  • Filling structural gaps in Periodicraft

  • Replacing oversimplified recipes with logical industrial stages

  • Introducing meaningful byproducts (slag, oxides, gases)

  • Creating coherent metallurgical and chemical progression

This release strengthens the industrial backbone of the modpack, ensuring that progression feels engineered rather than accelerated.
