Changes & Updates

Big Summoning Rework!

  • New Summon Management Menu, opened by Shift + Rightclick with any summon jutsu
  • Reworked AI behavior of ALL summons in the mod and streamlined them for easier fixing and adapting later on
  • Stances to pick between aggressive and defensive behavior
  • Target filters to let your summons only attack mobs, players or both
  • Recall button to teleport all your active summons to your location
  • Refresh button to refresh all living summons' lifetime counters. This is to enable a more passive playstyle that still requires you to actively maintain your summons
  • Dismiss All button, allowing you to despawn all summons at once
  • Minion slots, a lot of summoning jutsus now have these, limiting your overall amount of summons but making you able to increase that limit with mastery levels
  • Cooldown now only triggers on minion death, enabling you to mass-summon jutsus with multiple minion slots by Shift + Leftclick without triggering a delay but stopping you from keeping them alive indefinitely
  • Updated all summon jutsus' item descriptions to give more info
  • Punching your summons with their respective jutsu item will dismiss them
  • Almost all summons now increase their jutsu's mastery XP by killing stuff
  • New Jutsu: Sharingan: Summon Crow. Summon a crow that flies around you. Opponents get heavily debuffed on killing it (added to Sharingan Learner)
  • New Jutsu: Summoning: Ninneko. Summon a fast and tiny shinobi cat that fights by your side (not in any Skill Learner yet)
  • New Jutsu: Summoning: Ibuse. Summon a powerful giant salamander that constantly damages everything around it with poisonous gas (not in any Skill Learner yet)
  • New Jutsu: Rinnegan: Animal Path. Cycle through a variety of huge animal summons with varying combat styles. The dog splits, the bird throws eggs, the cendipede summons, the panda protects, the Rhino charges and the Crab crab crabs (added to Rinnegan Learner)
  • New Jutsu: Medical: Mystical Renewing. Slowly heal yourself and allies by touch, regenerates not instantly and scales better when you heal others (added to Medical Learner)
  • New Jutsu: Medical: Healing Fountain. Heal marked players in a circle around you. Range increases with mastery (added to Medical Learner)
  • New Jutsu: Yamanaka: Movement Inversion Jutsu. Offset your opponent by inverting their movement inputs, this one's a real mindbreaker! (added to Yamanaka Learner)
  • New Jutsu: Failed Sample Toss. A complete troll of a jutsu that throws actual DNA at your opponents. Effect depends on the DNA (did we go lengths to make DNA implantation consensual just to add this as a jutsu? Yes.) (will never be added to any Skill Learner)
  • Dog Companion Control can now cycle through 3 different dogs! Akamaru, Kuromaru and the new Dark Wolf which has increased attack speed
  • Removed the old Kuromaru-exclusive second Dog Companion Control jutsu item
  • Removed the old Rinnegan: Summon Giant Rhino jutsu item as that summon was fixed and moved to Rinnegan: Animal Path
  • There is now a visual indicator about a jutsu's current cooldown in your hotbar
  • Flying Thunder God can now mark other players by clicking the mouse wheel and letting them consent for a side-by-side teleport
  • Flying Thunder God now has a Renaming Menu that lets you put actual names on your marked coordinates
  • The LearnerConfig.cfg now updates dynamically when we add new jutsus to any learner. It's way cleaner as well.
  • Skill Learners, just like the config, now update automatically and when you didn't finish a learner yet, it'll update with newly added jutsus so you can learn them even if you're already past their progression step

Bug Fixes

  • Made Evening Elephant be more accurate to it's description
  • Yamanaka: Mind Body won't simply teleport you to the world border on miss anymore
  • Fixed Skill Learners still initializing an empty owner in questmode, stopping others from claiming them

Addon Updates

  • New Addon: Naruto Destination - Chakra Bars: Server- and client-sided, lets you see other players' HP, Chakra and Sen Chakra!
  • New Addon: Naruto Destination - Exams: Server-sided, hold automatically running, two-phased exams with a quiz and a 1o1 tournament. Automatic intervals, minimum required ranks and everything!

The obvious main theme of this update was bringing all summons under one roof, getting their logics straight and improving them greatly. All newly added summons were entities that already existed in the mod, added by Mathioks way back then and we always felt sad about seeing them rot in the back of the mod somewhere! So we reworked them to the new logic and made them into proper summons. Since this is a huge update and a change that touched upon like 5% of the entire code-base, I kindly ask you guys to test and report everything summon related in a constructive and detailed fashion in the bug-reports channel. Also the changes-section only already blew up our new patchnote-bot so this one comes from me again, hehe.
