What's new

Added

  • Standalone element system — elements and element reactions are pure datapack definitions with per-entity attachment, and one damage pipeline consumes damage_multiplier, element_modifier, overcomes and adapted_to.
  • Tribulation system — tribulations are timelines (action, idle and wait-for beats) declared in data packs, with sky darkening, strike windups and boss-bar integration.
  • Secret realms — instanced dimensions from mxt:realm_instance definitions, with per-definition generation, structure placement, party caps, ownership and full command coverage.
  • Rifts — linked portal blocks (rift, rift_anchor) with a custom shader renderer and paired teleport links.
  • Artifact system — definitions claim existing items and grant passive/active abilities, flight, storage and periodic upkeep, with long-press claiming and aura infusion.
  • Data storage module — abilities, curses and timers now share declared storage entries read by mxt:storage_toggle, storage_timer, storage_resource, storage_target, storage_charges and storage_cooldown.
  • Selection wheel — one 12-sector radial menu for skills, auras and artifact toggles, with a saved main page, live equipment pages, a persisted selection and twelve direct slot keys.
  • HUD layout system — every movable HUD element registers a layout key, can be dragged or reset with /hud, and keeps its position across restarts.
  • Item picker — /picker [<category>] browses the items backing any datapack registry, so content packs are inspectable in game.
  • Curse and ability sources — abilities and curses are held through a source ledger, with on_expire/on_cleanse lifecycles, tag/stack/duration filters and dedicated commands.
  • Trigger expansion — signals are data-driven with ordered rules and runtime subscriptions, inspectable through /mxt trigger.

Changed

  • Spirit roots and physiques now distinguish held from active — disabling one stops its elements, multipliers and granted abilities without losing it.
  • Element reactions gained re-entry guards and bounded per-tick work, so chained reactions cannot spiral.
  • Artifact flight and storage respect require_owner (off by default) instead of always demanding a claim, and periodic costs moved into mxt:upkeep.
  • HUD and wheel editing are client-side commands (/hud, /wheel) instead of server round-trips.
  • Stored-but-hidden values — cheque issuer, technique grade and the forging step limit are now displayed.

Removed

  • The reserved sect module — attachment, service, events, commands, registry and test fixtures.
  • The legacy ability hotbar overlay and its keys, replaced by the selection wheel.

Fixed

  • Fixed Curios automatic slot validators throwing when queried without an entity, which spammed errors during recipe book and creative search indexing.
