Fusion: a seventh tab. Six nodes that sit between two branches and are paid for out of both pools at once — Riposte (Combat + Agility), Adrenaline (Survival + Agility), Soul Harvest (Combat + Arcane), Deep Roots (Mining + Survival), Toolwright (Mining + Craft) and Enchanted Steel (Craft + Arcane). Resetting either parent branch refunds the fusion node into both.
Bulk Work is now Workshop Care — please read this one. The old node gave a chance at an extra crafted item, and that was a duplication exploit: vanilla is full of reversible recipes, so a diamond block crafted and broken back into diamonds printed free diamonds forever. The crafting table now hands out nothing at all — no bonus items, no saved ingredients — because any reward of that shape can be looped. In its place the node mends the armour you are wearing, the way Steady Hands mends the tool in your hand. If you already bought it, your ranks carry over to the new effect.
Balance pass. Two branches could be finished in minutes without playing the game they are about.
- Survival only counts damage from something that actually attacked you. Falling, hunger and cactus no longer count, so it cannot be farmed by jumping off a ledge. Damage weight 4x to 3x, threshold 60 to 80.
- Craft threshold 60 to 200; a craft gives 2 effort and a smelt 4. Crafting sticks in a loop was the fastest branch in the game by a wide margin; smelting burns fuel, so it is the harder half to abuse.
- Mining threshold 150 to 200.
- Mastery ranks cost
4 + 2 x rankinstead of4 + rank. At the old price the twentieth rank of an uncapped bonus cost less than a single ordinary node.
Points and ranks you have already earned are untouched; only the cost of what comes next changes.
