Description
Moria Depths
Beyond an ancient gate, a forgotten dwarven kingdom waits beneath the stone.
Moria Depths adds a vast underground dimension inspired by the mines of Moria. Explore colossal caverns, follow illuminated avenues across deep chasms, and uncover settlements and ruins carved into the rock.
Play alone or bring your friends. The depths hold rich ore deposits and hidden treasures, but their former guardians still defend them.
A world beneath the world
Discover eight underground biomes:
- Deep Halls — immense caverns, towering columns and deep fissures.
- Underground Lake — vast waters illuminated from below.
- Sunken Forges — lava rivers and foundries connected by walkways.
- Petrified Forest — enormous basalt trees with tangled roots.
- Forgotten Gardens — giant trees, moss and waterfalls.
- Titans’ Graveyard — colossal skeletons and horned skulls.
- Royal Geodes — amethyst formations rising from calcite.
- Silent Depths — dark basins, obsidian monoliths and hanging spires.
The terrain and locations vary with your world seed. Follow exposed ore veins to discover large deposits of iron, copper, coal and gold, or prospect the great fissures for rarer resources.
Explore a fallen kingdom
Search abandoned mines, deep forges, archives, necropolises, fortified gates, watch bridges, hanging cities and royal throne rooms.
Expedition journals found near structure entrances point towards other places to explore. Campsites, abandoned carts, repair stations and memorials offer glimpses of the kingdom's past.
Not everything is abandoned: inhabited dwarven villages contain villagers, workshops, crops and iron golems. Trade, rest and prepare for your next expedition.
An advancement tab provides optional exploration and combat goals.
Face its guardians
Battle revenant dwarves that still defend the kingdom's abandoned halls.
Encounter the Basalisk, a stone serpent lurking among the caverns and beneath the rock.
Challenge the Fallen King, an ancient ruler guarding the treasures of his forgotten kingdom.
How to enter
Look for an ancient gate in the Overworld's caves. Its carved frame, blue lanterns and glowing opening mark the entrance.
The gate is already active: walk through it to enter Moria. Your return gate leads back to the cave you came from. Other gates discovered in the depths can connect to different Overworld locations.
There is no portal crafting recipe.
