MoreGameRules - Beta 2 Release

MoreGameRules is a lightweight, server-side Fabric mod that introduces many new gamerules, with new ones constantly being added, giving players and server owners more control over Minecraft's world mechanics, block interactions, and mob behavior.

✨ Added

  • 8 new gamerules, bringing the total to 33.
  • Items & Players:
    • disable_anvil_damage - Prevents anvils from degrading through normal use.
    • disable_anvil_too_expensive - Removes the anvil's Too Expensive! restriction.
    • disable_item_despawn - Prevents dropped items from naturally despawning.
    • disable_experience_despawn - Prevents experience orbs from naturally despawning.
    • disable_hunger - Prevents hunger and saturation loss through exhaustion.
    • disable_tool_durability - Prevents tools and weapons from losing durability.
    • disable_elytra_durability - Prevents elytra from losing durability.
  • Commands:
    • disable_mgr_command - Allows server owners to disable the new /mgr command.

💻 New /mgr Command

  • Added /mgr, a shorter and more convenient way to manage MoreGameRules gamerules.
  • Instead of /gamerule moregamerules:disable_hunger true, you can now use /mgr disable_hunger true.
  • Supports checking current gamerule values and command autocomplete.
  • Uses the same permission requirements as Minecraft's vanilla /gamerule command.
  • Can be disabled through the disable_mgr_command gamerule.

🔧 Improvements

  • All new gamerules are disabled by default to preserve vanilla Minecraft behavior.
  • All new features remain fully server-side, without requiring client installation.
  • Updated documentation to include the new gamerules and /mgr command.
