More Gems and Metals
This mod really emphasises the "mine" in Minecraft by focusing on Precious Gems, Precious Metals and the most commonly known Metals.
33 new materials (3 new gems and 27 new metals) are introduced in the mod and 6 vanilla materials replaced.
In addition to the vanilla ores, blocks, ingots, gems, nuggets, armour, tools, sword, doors, trapdoors, bars etc. this mod adds Daggers, Battleaxes, Warhammers and Maces into the mix.
Disclaimer - the idea for this mod and the textures were created by a 7-year-old. Please be kind with any comments.

FAQ
Q1: Can the replaced materials (Iron, Copper, Gold, Diamond, Emerald) be crafted into vanilla items/blocks?
A1: Yes - with the exception of firework stars for now.
Q2: How rare are the Precious Gems and Metals?
A2: Roughly speaking the Precious Gems and Metal ores replace vanilla Gold, Diamond and Emerald ores spawn rates. Native Rhodium and Native Palladium ores are generated much less.
Q3: How rare are the Other Metals?
A3: It varies with each Metal - Copper replaces the vanilla Copper ore spawn rate and the other metals replace various other blocks.
Q4: Where have the stats for the Gems and Metals come from?
A4: Stats for both Gems and Metals are based off real-life information such as Mohs Scale of Hardness.
Q5: Do all the "fancy" colour variants of Diamonds and Sapphires really exist?
A5: Yes - both have been found in pretty much every colour.
Trivia
- A Ruby is simply a Red Sapphire? Both gems are made from the same mineral and only differ in colour.
