More Difficult Wither Storm

A high-stakes expansion for Cracker's Wither Storm Mod, featuring customizable escape challenges, stronger Command Block tiers, multiplayer game modes, a corrupted dimension, practice battles, and even a Pet Wither Storm.

More Difficult Wither Storm (MDWS) is an unofficial add-on for Cracker's Wither Storm Mod. It expands the entire Wither Storm experience instead of simply increasing health and damage.

Build your own challenge, earn Storm Points by accepting more dangerous rules, and face a Wither Storm whose mechanics evolve with the difficulty of the run. MDWS also introduces new ways to experience the storm—from structured solo and multiplayer challenges to controlling a Wither Storm avatar or raising a tiny one of your own.

Main Features

Storm Escape

Storm Escape turns a new world into a complete Wither Storm challenge with its own preparation phase, rules, objectives, and results screen.

• Spawn near (0, 0) with a protected amulet and a restricted preparation area.
• Configure the game difficulty, revive limit, initial storm invulnerability, ore generation, and other challenge conditions.
• Earn Storm Points by choosing more dangerous settings.
• Begin the real escape when the Wither Storm is summoned and the preparation protections are removed.
• Receive a detailed result at the end of the run, including your mode, difficulty, Storm Points, completion time, and active rules.

Enhanced Wither Storm and Command Block Tiers

In Enhanced Mode, the Wither Storm's Command Block changes according to your Storm Point total:

Higher tiers make the storm and its attacks more dangerous, but they also improve the rewards found inside it. Advanced rules can even reverse gravity during the final internal battle, affecting players, mobs, movement, and the camera.

Multiplayer Challenges

Turn Storm Escape into a multiplayer minigame with a lobby, configurable match rules, assigned roles, and dedicated victory conditions.

• Leader Escape — only the leader receives the amulet. Other players can keep respawning while the leader remains alive, but the match ends immediately if the leader dies.
• Non-Leader Escape — every participant receives an amulet and has an individual revive limit. Eliminated players spectate until the match ends.
• Hunter Escape — one summoner must survive and defeat the storm while hunters track and pursue them.
• Hunter Escape: Storm Avatar — one hunter personally controls the Wither Storm in an asymmetrical boss-versus-players battle.

Storm Avatar mode supports growth through the storm's phases, block and entity absorption, tractor beams, player-controlled aiming, independent side-head targeting, phase-aware attributes, and custom first- and third-person camera handling.

Hunter Escape: Storm Avatar requires Identity, Identity2, or Woodwalkers on every client.

The Corrupted World

Travel through a custom portal into an unsettling dimension reshaped by the Wither Storm.

• Corrupted terrain, ores, deepslate building sets, tainted grass, and unique world generation.
• A large roster of corrupted passive, aquatic, and hostile creatures.
• Different creature spawning behavior during the day and night.
• Safe two-way portal travel using the Enhanced Flint and Steel.
• Chronic Wither, an escalating long-term threat unique to this corrupted environment.

Pet Wither Storm

Summon and raise a miniature, passive Wither Storm bound to its owner.

• Feed your pet to grow it through seven levels.
• Unlock later levels with Small F-Bomb Treats.
• Open a dedicated GUI to view its level and feeding progress.
• Enjoy phase-specific appearances, sounds, feeding hearts, and persistent progression.
• At level 7, enter the pet's own persistent internal space and use its Command Block Workbench.

Pet storms do not attack players, absorb the world, or use the destructive AI of a normal Wither Storm.

Practice Mode

Learn important fights without playing through a complete survival run. Practice Mode creates a dedicated arena, provides starter equipment, and includes guided scenarios for:

• The Withered Symbiont battle.
• The final Command Block battle inside the Wither Storm.

New Equipment, Consumables, and Rewards

• Command Block enchanted books for Impulse, Chain, Repeating, and Rainbow progression.
• Universal Command Block books that can empower compatible tools and armor through an anvil.
• Enchanted Golden Apple Stew, a powerful survival food that can grant permanent protection from Wither Sickness and, under the right conditions, Chronic Wither.
• Corruption Inhibitor, which delays the progression of Wither Sickness when a cure is not yet available.
• Enhanced Amulet, which can reveal the Wither Storm and locked tracking targets to its holder.
• Wither Storm Skull, Small F-Bomb, Storm Ingot, and other storm-themed items, recipes, blocks, and rewards.

Requirements

Both the server and every joining player must install MDWS and its required dependency. A compatible morph mod is optional unless you want to play Hunter Escape: Storm Avatar.

Development Status

MDWS is still in active development. Existing mechanics, balance, visuals, and compatibility may change between versions, and some advanced multiplayer or Storm Avatar behavior may continue to receive major updates.

Back up important worlds before playing experimental versions or starting a multiplayer challenge.
