You are not alone in the woods anymore.
Mooseman adds one relentless apex predator to your world — a towering, gaunt horror with an elongated skull, branching antlers, and a broken chain dragging behind it. This is not a background mob. It stalks, it stares, it vanishes, and it hunts you across the map until one of you is dead.
You will hear its ragged breathing and deep, wrong roars long before you see it. And the moment you do see it — the moment your crosshair lands on it — it will already be too late.

π²π THE ENCOUNTER
Spawns rarely and naturally in forest and taiga biomes. Then it finds you.
ποΈ First Sighting
Look directly at it — a true line-of-sight check, up to 100 blocks away — and it freezes and stares back for about three seconds. A stinger plays inside your head, not out at the monster, while a rising heartbeat swells. Then it commits: it either blinks out of view and reappears behind you, or explodes into a full sprint. This nightmare "show" plays once per hunt. After that, it drops the theatrics and just comes.
π©ΈThe Hunt
Once it has your scent, breaking away is nearly impossible:
- π§± Hunts you through walls - it tracks by smell and hearing. Line of sight means nothing.
- πͺ Opens and walks through doors - a locked house is not a safe house.
- π² Carves a tunnel through the canopy as it charges, so the forest never slows it down (respects the `mobGriefing` gamerule).
- π§ Smart pathfinding routes it around cliffs, buildings, and terrain instead of giving up.
- β¨ Teleports past anything it truly can't path around — and blinks in behind you during the opening scare.
- π Only loses your trail once you're roughly 120 blocks away. If you can get that far.
> Survival tip: Don't try to snipe it from a rooftop — it barely feels arrows and it will reach you. Bring melee, bring armor, bring friends, and think hard before starting a fight you can't outrun.
