This mod adds a modular system for generating Force fields within game, at the cost of Redstone Flux (from Thermal Expansion). Beyond simply force fields, this mod also adds a wealth of base security, including the Area Defense station that is capable of fending off NPCs, mobs and other players - and stripping them of prohibited items!
This mod has lost its fruition, unfortunately. The only mod with a shield that can survive a stargate's kawoosh is this one, and it doesn't work in the versions that the stargate is in. Rip.
Good mod :)
why does this not work on 1.12.2?
can you make a 1.16.3 forge version please?
They can
It doesn't seem to block explosions of any kind (not even vanilla TNT). The forcefield doesn't generate through blocks so explosions go under the forcefield and destroy the blocks on the other side. Is there a way to fix this?
Would this work with Immersive Engineering?
how does ANYTHING in this mod even work!!!
any chance of getting this to work with enderio or ic2 classic
The Thermal and Ender IO recipe config options do nothing and the only way i can seem to get anything at all is with industrialcraft, a mod im intentionally trying to avoid as im using tech reborn instead. even with Industrialcraft most items are still uncraftable. any advice would be appreciated
Is there integration with IC2, BC?
What does the "Projector Option: Defense Station" item do?
For all those having issues with the mod starting, it is not mentioned but you need GuideAPI. Otherwise the mod won't load and cause a ClassNotFound error at startup. If the developer still reads these comments, you might want to add a link to GuideAPI to the mod description.
GuideAPI: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/guide-api/
In reply to Forge_User_98367876:
Guide-API has been in the required mods of the download ever since the file was added https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/modular-forcefield-system/files/2581227
another Voltz mod fucking dead... life is suffering holy shit!
1.12 version is busted. Unable to craft them, and unable to remove them once placed if you cheat your way to get it.
This mods has no Wiki, the in-game guide is absolutely useless (just breifly describes what the blocks do, doesnt tell you HOW to do anything), and the blocks are full of hard to decipher symbols that the devs just assume you will understand the meaning of. This is extremely frustrating to try to incorporate into a modpack. Hell, just adding a few hover-tips on the GUI elements would work WONDERS... but nope. Why make a great mod, and then not create a great documentation for it?
In reply to Boolyman:
Documentation is something I definatly need to get better at. I am going to be working on implementing more in the upcoming version, and will try and make time to add more to the current version
So it doesn't say this mod has dependencies but it does you need Guide API and Redstone Flux otherwise the game crashes on startup
