What's new
MobRig — Changelog
✨ New
- Pause your recording (U key): pause and resume a recording without ending it. The paused part is cut out of the scene, so your animation continues seamlessly in Blender.
- Optional time limit: recordings no longer stop automatically after 60 seconds. By default they run until you press J again. You can set a limit in the map (O): "Limitar tiempo" ON plus the number of seconds.
- Cancel an export: a Cancel button in the mob list and on the export progress screen (click twice to confirm). The unfinished scene is deleted, so no broken multi-GB files are left behind.
- Tidier mob list: after recording, every mob type starts collapsed (e.g. "Cow (6)"). Expand only what you need.
- Blender Outliner folders: imported scenes are organized: Entities → type → one folder per mob, World → chunks, Distant Horizons terrain, and off-camera objects in their own folders.
🛠 Improvements
- The game always pauses while exporting in singleplayer, even if another screen (like chat) was open when the recording ended.
- Players are prioritized: the per-frame entity cap was raised from 60 to 120, and players are always captured first, then the mobs closest to the camera.
- Movement track (M) now includes everything already loaded when you start. Previously, mobs and players that were already there at the start weren't recorded.
- Safer mob selection: if you're about to leave out more than half of the mobs, MobRig asks you to confirm.
- Map screen (O) fits small windows: the options column now scrolls with the mouse wheel, so every option and the Save button are reachable at any GUI scale.
- YouTube and Ko-fi buttons now show their logos.
- The mod now shows up simply as "MobRig" (mod list, controls and messages). Your key bindings and settings are kept.
🐞 Fixes
- Players no longer disappear from the scene after a teleport (waystones, commands, etc.).
- Fixed washed-out or wrong vertex colors: colors are now exported in linear space and applied only once in Blender.
- Fixed scene import broken in the previous add-on build.
- Fixed Distant Horizons textured terrain looking too dark (faces were flipped).
- Your own player no longer blocks first-person camera shots in Blender.
📦 Update both files
Download the new mod and the new Blender add-on (io_mcscene). The add-on is needed so paused recordings stay in sync.
