Modern Overclock For GTM

Set a modern overlock to your GTM from MI

An addon mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge and GTCEu Modern (GTM) 7.5.3.

Mod ID: modern_overclock_for_gtm

This mod replaces GTM's multiplier-based power overclocking system with the continuous efficiency model used by Modern Industrialization 1.21.x.

Continuous Efficiency Overclocking

  • The first recipe execution starts with the recipe's original EU/t and duration.
  • Each successfully completed consecutive recipe increases the target EU/t by Recipe Total EU / 600.
  • The recipe's total energy consumption remains constant. As the current EU/t increases, the recipe completes faster.
  • The current EU/t is recalculated every tick.
  • The current EU/t is capped at the lower of the machine's rated input power and the recipe's total energy.
  • For multiblocks, the maximum input power is calculated as the sum of Voltage × Amperage across all energy input hatches.
  • Any remaining energy on the final tick caused by whole-tick rounding is deducted separately, ensuring that a recipe never consumes more energy than its fixed total energy due to rounding.
  • If the machine does not receive sufficient power, its efficiency is reduced tick by tick and the recipe is retried.
  • Parallel processing does not increase the consecutive-run count multiple times. Regardless of the number of parallel recipes, completing one processing cycle increases the consecutive-run count by one.
  • GTM's multiplier-based overclocking is suppressed, and the MI continuous efficiency model is applied to all power-consuming recipe logic implemented by IOverclockMachine, covering both single-block electric machines and electric multiblocks.
  • Other recipe modifiers are preserved.
  • This mod does not modify existing recipes, machine definitions, or blocks.

Overdrive Module

The mod adds an Overdrive Module cover:

modern_overclock_for_gtm:overdrive_module

It also provides a dedicated Creative Mode tab.

The module uses GTM's native cover component interaction. Simply right-click the surface of a machine to install it; sneak-right-clicking is not required.

When applied to a running power recipe, a fluid container containing gtceu:lubricant can be used to consume lubricant according to Modern Industrialization's original rules:

  • Every 25 mB of lubricant increases the consecutive-efficiency count by 1.
  • This continues until the highest speed allowed by the machine's maximum power input is reached.

Recipe Locking

  • Installing the module on a machine that is currently running locks the currently running recipe.
  • Installing it on an idle machine locks the next recipe that successfully starts.
  • The lock filters only by the original recipe ID.
  • The lock does not store or restrict the parallel processing count.

Once a recipe is locked, the machine retains its consecutive-run count and speed multiplier even while idle.

While idle, the machine consumes one quarter of its maximum input power per tick from its internal stored energy to maintain the retained state.

If the stored energy is insufficient to pay the full maintenance cost, the consecutive-run count is reset to 0, and the next recipe starts at 1× speed.

Jade Integration

When Jade 11.13.1 is installed:

  • GTM machines display a red status indicator when a recipe is locked.
  • While the machine is operating, Jade also displays the number of consecutive recipes completed and the current speed multiplier.

If Jade is not installed, the Jade compatibility feature is not loaded.
