What's new

Configuration & Custom Chicken Persistence

  • Fixed configuration values reverting to defaults after restarting Minecraft or a server.
  • Global settings now live in config/chickens.toml.
  • Stock chicken settings and custom chicken definitions now live in config/custom_chickens.toml.
  • Existing TOML files are treated as player/server-owned and are not replaced with defaults.
  • Existing chickens.cfg and chickens_custom.json files remain readable for migration compatibility.
  • New custom chicken definitions should be added to custom_chickens.toml.

Gameplay & Compatibility Fixes

  • Fixed a chunk-loading crash.
  • Fixed Mega Chicken flying behavior.
  • Updated the JEI dependency and integration for current JEI builds.

Important Notice for Existing Installations

Stop the game or server before editing either TOML file, then restart to apply changes.

Do not delete your existing configuration files when updating. If an older version already reset one of your settings, restore it from a backup or reapply it once after installing this update.

For multiplayer, edit the files in the server’s config folder. The server configuration is authoritative.
