This mod currently adds 8 Spiders, 7 Skeletons, 6 Zombies, 5 endermen and 1 mite.

 

This mod is officially back in business.

 

 

 

A full explanation of what each mob does is in the video below (German only right now) thanks to ACGaming for the video or in the wall of text below and is being updated constantly.

This mod requires craft studio api to function. You can download it here.

Not including craft studio api will not let the game load.

 

Highly recommend to have JEI as it shows a full description of each mob but it is NOT necessary.

DELETE THE CONFIG FILE IF YOU ARE UPDATING PAST THE BETA VERSIONS.

 

 

This mod modifies the models and adds improved animations and unique mechanics to the way the mobs work But does not modify vanilla mobs in any shape or form. (it stops vanilla endermen from spawning in the nether and replaces them with Magma Endermen (Configurable) in the 0.0.7 beta) plus it modifies Pigmen to stop dropping rotten flesh and instead drop pigman flesh.

 

Mobultion: Mob + evolution meaning that each vanilla mob is seeing some kind of transformation or getting a new ability to create what seem so similar to vanilla mobs but gives a full new experience to try and learn how and where these mob spawn, getting better tools and rare items to make the player feel rewarded but keeping it simple so that it can compatible with other mods and modpacks without issues.

Many of the things that are planned are being implemented on the go while trying to keep a steady schedule of weekly updates to fix bugs and potentially test new mobs and tools. It even seeks to add bosses based of each mob by collecting parts from the respective mob type to try and spawn the boss (similar mechanic to the wither spawning method), but that is still a bit far a head. 

This mod adds special attack and throwing animation, Skeleton Remains allowing them to respawn and so much more to come for other mobs. All of that while keeping the mod smooth and light weight to better integrate with the vanilla theme and by adding an easy to use config GUI so that you do not need to modify the text file instead.

 

All of the mobs pictures currently added are in the images tab or in the text below.

 

The config file will be expanded as people wish and I will add many more features including the ability to switch to vanilla animations (to a certain extent). All suggestions are welcome in the issues page of github linked above.

 

Here is a basic documentation about the mobs and their abilities:

 

Spiders:

 

Angel Spider:

A Healer and a blesser that heals damaged spiders and gives spiders a blessing effect that has 1/2 chance to revive the spider upon death (similar to the totem of undying, but for spiders).

Health: 7.5 hearts

Speed: 0.35

WIP Features:

Render a halo above blessed spiders.(Done in 0.0.7 beta)


Hypno Spider:

A master of the mind with the ability to shot confusing projectiles to confuse the player making the player shake and move a bit (not nausea). The projectiles do some damage (between 1.5 to 2.5 hearts) so be careful.

Health: 10 hearts

Magma Spider:

A nether and desert monster that hates water and rain but vengeful and dangerous. Will burn the player for 3 seconds (configurable) plus a small random. 

Health: 11 hearts

WIP Features:

A shiny lava effect layer. (done in 0.0.3)

Mini Spider:

A small spider that randomly spawns with other spiders (1% chance configurable), that will possess other spiders and give them strength and speed.

Mother Spider:

An extremely dangerous mob that has a small chance to lay an egg (check Spider Egg for more information) and will spawn at least an egg when it dies.

Knows Bugs:

Can spawn an egg inside a block if suffocated and the egg will spawn spiders.  (done in 0.0.5 beta)

Sorcerer Spider:

A mean and magical spider that spawn in the swamps and can cast spells to summon 3 to 7 (based on difficulty) spiders that range from vanilla to this mod's other spiders (configurable).

Better spell casting locations and checking if the spawn places are possible. (done in 0.0.5 beta)

Speedy Spider:

A normal spider (WIP) that is faster and more unpredictable.

Everything about this spider may change. 

Wither Spider:

A three headed monster that has 15 hearts and will lose a head every third of its health. Will wither the player for 5 seconds (configurable) on each hit.

Better head rotations and particle effects on head death.


Spider Egg:

A Mob based on an idea from Upcraft and inspiration from Binding of Isaac, this mob will grow within 8 seconds and increase health along with its size. After being invulnerable for 7 seconds this will start spawning vanilla spiders in the overworld and magma spiders in the nether each 5 seconds.

Health: 25 hearts

Speed: 0.0 (does not move)

Armor: 0.0

WIP Features:

Better growth animation.

Better mob spawning checks. (done in 0.0.5 beta)

 

Known Bugs:

Can spawn spiders inside of blocks. (done in 0.0.5 beta)

 

 

 Skeletons:

 

Corrupted Skeleton:

A master piece of a texture made by nox-cgt, this corrupted skeleton has been trapped inside temples and left to rot but instead it holds a bone from its dead ancestors and seek those who to try to steal the loot from the temples (jungle or desert temple).

Health: 7.5 hearts

Speed: 0.2

Armor: 0.0


Jester Skeleton:

An annoying skeleton with a squeaky laugh (can be disabled) roams the land to shot his arrows at the player causing one of the most annoying effects that last for 10 seconds, the jokerness effect which renders play cards symbols on the screen (only four symbols and fade fast). Its arrows do a slight damage (half a heart, can be increased).

Health: 6 hearts

Speed: 0.28

Armor: 0.0


WIP Features:

Drop its hat to be worn. (done in 0.0.5 beta)


Magma Skeleton:

A lava dipped skeleton with an eternal flame burning in its chest to represent its fury and vengeance. Will spawn in hot biomes and on nether fortresses, will burn on hit by arrow.

Health: 11 hearts

Shaman Skeleton:

A master of healing arts and the shaman of his village, this skeleton will heal damaged skeletons and help to revive skeleton remains (more on that in Skeleton Remains). Has a chance to drop his wand but since the player do not know how to use, the player may use this wand 6 times to heal 2 hearts (with cool down between each one) before it breaks.

Health: 13 hearts

Speed: 0.25

Armor: 0.0


WIP Features:
Better AI and texture.


Known Bugs:

The robe position is broken and so is the robe texture. (done in 0.0.5 beta)

 

Sniper Skeleton:

A sharp shooter with zero inaccuracy, making him the hardest to dodge. can be found lurking and hiding under tress in the forests using his cover made of leaves. Will poison upon hit. Upon death can drop his forest bow which is not that different from the normal bow because the power is in the shooter not the bow.

Health: 8 hearts

Speed: 0.29

WIP Features:

Better tree finding AI.

Known Bugs:

Can cause lag if the player summoned over 20 of them in the same location. (so just keep the natural generation and do not mess with search range and you should be fine).

Withering Skeleton:

This just a wither skeleton with a bow instead but I always thought it was strange that there is no wither skeletons with a bow.

Health: 9 hearts

Speed: 0.25

Armor: 2.0

 

Vampire Skeleton:

A Vampire skeleton, based on the idea of Upcraft, that heals from drinking the player's blood but instantly dies from sun light. Can only be killed with sweeping edge sword or fire aspect sword. Can also be damaged by fire stuff like lava, fire and fire balls. Will morph into a bat if in really low health which means that it will not drop its loot if the player did not kill it fast enough.

Health: 10 hearts.

Speed: 0.32.

armor: 0.0.

 

Skeleton remains:

A grave-like mob that is spawned when a skeleton dies and will change texture accordingly. Will respawn in 1 minute (or less if helped by the shaman) to the old skeleton.

Health: 25 hearts

Speed: 0.0(does not move

Armor: 0.0


WIP Features:

An animation for the rebirth. (done in 0.0.5 beta)

A jester grave. (done in 0.0.3)


Known Bugs:

Fixed in 0.0.3

The jester does not have a grave due to texture issues (will be re-enabled soon).
The remains are larger horizontally which can cause suffocation if the skeleton died in a 1x1 area. 

 

 

 Zombies:

Doctor Zombie:

After being kicked from med school for trying to eat the brains in anatomy class, this zombie did not give up and started roaming everywhere (literally) to heal those injured (just zombies) and extinguish those which are burning (just zombies).

Health: 10 hearts

Speed: 0.26

Armor: 0.0

WIP Features:

Better Animations.

Goro Zombie:

This zombie might have run from another game (MK for those who do not know the reference) and wielded 4 swords in his hands making him the strongest with 25 hearts but luckily he spawns on extreme mountains making him an unlikely encounter.

Health: 17.5 hearts

Speed: 0.24

Armor: 2.0

Bonus damage: 8.0


WIP Features:
Some tweaks to the swords and adding config to change the swords.

Knight Zombie:

This noble knight lost his job when he overslept on his night shift and the king ended being assassinated so he roams the world trying to retrieve his dignity. Has a really high chance to spawn with iron armor.

Health: 10 hearts

Speed: 0.23

Armor: 2.0

Bonus damage: 3.0

WIP Features:

More armor options and more config for a smoother experience.

Magma Zombie: 

A lava fused zombie wielding a powerful fire sword that burns the enemies. The sword can drop but the sword is cursed and does not like when the sword is too much damaged and will try to burn the player upon holding (only if too damaged). The sword can be repaired with diamonds but is not currently craft-able (configurable).

Health: 10 hearts

Speed: 0.2

Armor: 2.0

Bonus damage: 4.0

WIP Features:

A config for the sword to be craft-able.(Done in 0.0.6 Beta)


Worker Zombie:

After being killed by an accident while building, this worker holds a might hammer and nails down every player in the ground (literally). The hammer has a chance to drop but it does nothing at the moment. The hammer effect to nail down enemies can be disabled and replaced with a slow down effect for sky block maps.

Health: 10 hearts

Speed: 0.23

Armor: 2.0

Bonus damage: 2.0


WIP Features:

A use for the hammer.  

 

Ravenous Zombie:

A very hungry zombie that will eat anything edible in his way including passive creatures, players and food items on the ground. Will prefer living fresh meat over the food items. Will cause a small one block explosion (will destroy around 4 or 5 blocks around him) (configurable).

Health: 15 hearts.

Speed: 0.16.

Armor: 0.0.

 

WIP Features:

A better texture. (done in 0.0.5 beta)

Re-enable the cake eating AI.

Support other passive mobs from other mods. (done in 0.0.5 beta)

Vomit effect upon explosion.(done in 0.0.6 beta)

Loot table for the food after death.

 

 

Endermen: 

Magma Enderman:

An enderman that spawns in the nether (will soon replace the enderman in the nether, making it the first mob that directly affects vanilla). This enderman is extra aggressive and burns upon hit (configurable) but teleports in shorter distances. Will occasionally spit lava particles.

Health: 10 hearts.

Speed: 0.3.

Armor: 0.0.

 

WIP Features:

Stop vanilla endermen from spawning in the nether. (Done in 0.0.7 beta)

 

Ice Enderman:

An enderman that will spawn in cold biomes. He is less aggressive than other endermen and is less likely to teleport, however he likes to wander a lot. Upon killing him (if he did not eat you first) he will release a freezing cloud that freeze the player and the player's screen (effects).

Health: 10 hearts.

Speed: 0.3.

Armor: 0.0.

 

 

Mites: 

Wood Mite:

A challenge and then an idea and ended up being the tiniest horror a player will see, based on ideas and inspirations of JamesWhiteShirt and DarkCow this mob will spawn as 1/1000 from breaking a log (any, modded or vanilla) and only if broken by the player (so do not worry about your tree farms) and will attack quickly and once 1.5 hearts or less will try to ride on the player's face and attack him. Once ridding on the player, it can only be killed by jumping as each jump has a 80% chance to hit the mob (will need a max of 3 successful jumps to kill it).

Health: 5 hearts.

Speed: 0.3.
