Mob possession 1.5
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
v1.5.0 — Stability & Performance
Performance
- Big reduction in background lag. The mod no longer scans every entity in the world every tick, even when nobody is possessing anything.
Fixed
- Your camera could get stuck on a mob if the server refused the possession. The camera now waits for the server's confirmation before switching.
- A game crash during possession left the mob permanently frozen and the player permanently invulnerable. Both are now repaired automatically the next time the world loads.
- Mobs in other dimensions could get frozen by mistake while you possessed something elsewhere.
- The Ender Dragon would briefly flip backwards on a laggy connection.
- Possessing the same Ender Dragon a second time stretched its body.
- You could still damage your own possessed mob in passive mode, or by hitting an Ender Dragon's body parts.
- Releasing a mob now restores its original settings, so mobs that were frozen on purpose (adventure maps, for example) stay frozen.
- Quitting a world while possessing could carry possession state into the next world you loaded.
- The mod now reports its correct version, so CurseForge orders updates properly.
Known issues
- Third-person view (F5) doesn't show the possessed mob. First-person works normally.
