What's new

Mobile Networks 4.0.3

For Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge. Requires Simple Voice Chat.

New

  • NetMonster: a new installable Store app with a clean live network view. See your carrier, PLMN, country, connection technology, four-bar reception, serving antenna material, distance, server and roaming status. No additional map, graph, log or menu tabs.
  • Custom network identities: configure separate MCC and MNC fields and a real or fictional country in the linked network's PLMN tab on a Server block. Leading zeros are preserved; existing networks remain valid without these optional settings.
  • Full-screen photos: click a photo in Gram or Maps to open a larger viewer. Close it with the X or Escape and use the side arrows to browse carousels.
  • Maps photo deletion: players can delete their own uploaded photos; server operators can delete any photo. Deletion requires confirmation.
  • Gram account deletion: remove a linked account from its profile after confirmation. Its posts, comments, likes and related notifications are removed, without deleting other players' accounts or unrelated content.

Improved

  • Material-based throughput: iron keeps its existing numeric speed ranges, copper is slower, and diamond is substantially faster. Strong 5G+ coverage through diamond antennas can exceed 1000 Mbps.
  • Speedtest now uses Mbps, including the live value, summary and history. Numeric ranges are retained rather than multiplied by eight.
  • Store remains in MB/s: its download simulation converts from Mbps using eight bits per byte, keeping the two apps consistent.
  • The speedometer still uses only 500 or 1000 Mbps ranges. Values above 1000 continue increasing numerically while the needle stays at the maximum; it drops again when the measured value drops below the maximum.
  • A clearly labelled History button sits beneath Start and Test again.
  • Refreshed phone, messages, notifications, mobile network, camera, gallery, Maps, Speedtest and NetMonster icons. The Store bag keeps its clean blue/teal background and coloured squares inside.
  • Better compact-screen spacing and mouse-wheel navigation for the Store catalogue and NetMonster information.
  • All new controls and states support English and Spanish.

Compatibility And Performance

  • Update the server and all clients together. Network protocol is 16.
  • Existing worlds, subscriptions, phone numbers, installed apps, Gram posts, Maps places and Speedtest history are preserved.
  • Historical Speedtest numbers and notes are retained; values are now shown using the new Mbps gameplay convention.
  • Maps photos uploaded before ownership metadata existed can only be deleted by an operator. Their uploader cannot be reconstructed reliably.
  • Photo/account storage work stays on the existing bounded worker queues. NetMonster reuses the existing rate-limited connection status request; it does not add another antenna scan or force chunk loading.
  • Speeds, app package sizes and radio labels are simulated gameplay values. No real Internet speed tests or device network monitoring are performed.
  • Voice routing, ports, sounds and shader-compatible camera capture paths are unchanged.
