# MobTalk: AI-Powered Minecraft Mobs

Ever wish the mobs in your world had a mind of their own? **MobTalk** brings Minecraft to life by giving every creature a personality, a voice, and the ability to make their own decisions using advanced AI!

## ✨ Features
* **Real-Time Conversations:** Have completely dynamic, in-character chats with any mob. A wolf will act like a wolf, a villager like a villager, and a zombie... well, you get the idea.
* **Context Aware:** Mobs know what biome they are in, the current time of day, and how much health they have. If you hit them, they'll remember!
* **Dynamic AI Behaviors:** Mobs don't just stand still. The AI decides how they physically react to your words. Depending on what you say, a mob might:
* **Follow** you on an adventure.
* **Flee** in terror.
* **Attack** if you make them angry.
* **Approach** to get a closer look.
* **Sit**, **Jump**, or **Look** at you.

## 🎮 How to Play
1. Approach any mob with an **empty main hand**.
2. **Right-click** the mob to initiate a conversation.
3. Type your messages normally in the game chat. The mob will reply directly in the chat window!
4. To end the conversation, simply right-click the mob again.

## ⚙️ Setup & Configuration (Important!)
Because this mod uses real AI to generate responses, **you must provide your own Groq API key** for it to work. Groq provides incredibly fast AI generation and offers a free tier.

**How to set it up:**
1. Go to the [Groq Console](https://console.groq.com/) and create a free account to get an API key.
2. Run Minecraft with the mod installed at least once to generate the config file.
3. Close the game and navigate to your `.minecraft/config/` folder.
4. Open `mobtalk-common.toml` in any text editor.
5. Paste your API key into the `groqApiKey` setting.
6. *(Optional)* The mod defaults to the highly capable `llama-3.3-70b-versatile` model, but you can change this in the config if desired.
