Ever wanted a low lag, mod friendly (works out of the box with most modded enchantments) way to farm mobs? Good, because so did I.
This mod adds a block that uses spawner souls and an optional weapon to "kill" mobs.
Spawner souls are gotten by destroying mob spawners with a pickaxe, 4 are dropped per spawner with each level of fortune increasing drop rate by 4.
After getting the souls, they can be right clicked on any mob to store it's type, this will only store the type, and not any extra data like equipment or held items so don't get cute.
The Mob Grinder is crafted with an iron block and 4 diamond swords.
All "kills" done by this block will be considered as player kills, so drops like wither skeleton skulls,blaze rods, equipment, etc. will work.
The spawner soul goes in the top left slot.
the bottom slot is used as the "sword" that is used when "killing" the mob.
drops appear to the right and can be pulled out with any eligible iitemhandler capable blocks
It extracts the entitytype from the mob and simulates spawning it into the world before gathering it's drops.
