What's new

First public release. Beta, and the notes below say exactly why.

What works

Companions drive routes you record yourself. Waypoints can be drive-throughs, timed stops, stop signs, give ways, traffic lights, named bus stops, fuel stops or depots. Routes run one way, in a loop, there and back, or wandering a network at random.

Drivers follow each other at a sensible gap, have slightly different habits, yield at junctions, drive to a side of the road, slow for rain and ice, work their headlights and indicators, and fill up at a pump.

Route tools: an editor that needs no commands, corner smoothing, a route check, export and import, a one-click return lane, and speed limits recorded by driving the route the way you want it driven.

Supported mods

Touhou Little Maid, Ultimate Car Mod and Immersive Vehicles (MTS). All three optional, none included. The mod loads and runs with none of them.

Why beta

Watched working in a real game: driving recorded routes, timed stops, cornering, refuelling at a pump, both vehicle mods, and the maid driving job.

Built and unit-tested, but not yet seen working in game: passengers boarding buses, ambient townsfolk traffic, overtaking, emergency routes, the dispatcher board and the Stop Sensor block.

143 automated tests pass. That is not the same thing as having watched it drive, and I would rather say so here than have you find out.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.219 or newer, Java 21.
