This mod will prevent many vanilla hostile mobs from spawning on the surface of your world, or make them rarer to encounter. I created this pack for a horror modpack I am working on since I kept being killed by vanilla mobs and not the entities. You are free to use this if you want though.
Effects:
Creeper: Mostly Banished
Spider: Mostly Banished
Zombie: Banished
Skeleton: Banished to Deepslate
Witch: Banished to Deepslate
Biome specific mobs will still spawn, so if you don't want to deal with them, don't enter their territory.
