Mjölnir
Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.
Mjölnir brings Thor's hammer to Minecraft. Fly, call down lightning, and hurl a hammer that always finds its mark and always comes home.
Controls (with Mjölnir in hand)
| Input | Power |
|---|---|
| Right-click | Whirl the hammer by its strap for a second, then take off. Click again to drop. |
| Mouse / look | Steer. You fly on by yourself, building speed up to 52 blocks a second. |
| Space (in flight) | Brake gently to a hover; press again to fly on. |
| Crouch (in mid-air) | Slam straight down: a bolt of lightning and 20 damage to everything within 5 blocks. No fall damage. 5 s cooldown. |
| Mouse wheel click | Call a lightning storm onto the block you're looking at, up to 64 blocks away: one bolt, then four more around it. 5 s cooldown. |
| Left-click (tap) | Strike for 20 damage. |
| Left-click (hold, then release) | Lock onto the mob or player nearest your crosshair (shown by a red target, even through walls) and hurl the hammer for 40 damage. |
The throw
- The hammer finds its way to its target, flying around walls and obstacles and chasing fast-moving mobs.
- Nothing else can take the hit: it flies through anything in its way. On the way back it smashes whatever it passes.
- It always returns to your hand. If your inventory is full, it takes your hand and drops what you were holding.
- If its target is sealed away with no way in, it comes back and tells you: "Target unable to reach."
Only the worthy
- Mjölnir is bound to whoever crafts it or first holds it. Nobody else can pick it up, and no mob can take it.
- An unworthy player who gets hold of it drops it: "You are not worthy."
- It is indestructible: no durability, and immune to lava, fire, explosions and cacti. Dropped, it stands on its head and never despawns.
Lord of Thunder
- While you wield Mjölnir, no lightning can strike you, not even a thunderstorm's.
- Your own lightning and the fire it starts never harm you.
Flight
- Flying plays the elytra's rush of wind, which swells as you pick up speed.
- Comic-book speed lines streak across the screen at top speed.
UI
- A HUD under the crosshair counts down the slam and lightning cooldowns.
