MITENewWorld
MITENewWorld is a total-conversion survival overhaul for Minecraft 1.21.10 on Fabric, inspired by Minecraft Is Too Easy. Rather than adding content on top of the game, it rewrites the foundations: vanilla crafting tables and furnaces are disabled, ore generation is redistributed, and progression is rebuilt around an alloy-based metallurgy system and two new dimensions.
Alloy metallurgy
Vanilla metal ingots are removed entirely. In their place is a single unified alloy system of 13 metals, each with distinct durability, toughness, hardness, enchantability and weight. Metals are blended rather than simply smelted — combining them fuses their properties through a resistance-weighted chain, amplified by mix-type and threshold bonuses and by ten synergies that trigger when specific metals coexist. The result is a continuous spectrum of materials rather than a fixed ladder, and weight is a genuine attribute, so heavy armour and weapons cost mobility.
Crafting, casting and forging
Tools, weapons and armour cannot be made at a workbench. They are forged at casting tables using templates that define which slots accept ingots, nuggets, blocks or chains. Each strike is a timing minigame producing a quality score, so the same recipe can yield an Inferior or a Legendary result.
Temperature-based industry
Smelting runs on a temperature simulation. Ores must be processed in furnaces of sufficient heat for their metal, and the 5×5×5 blast furnace multiblock — built in five tiers of increasing heat resistance — gates the advanced metals. Exceed a furnace's maximum temperature and the structure melts into lava, destroying its contents.
Mining and geology
Ore generation is overhauled: ores grade in richness and improve with depth, and the Overworld no longer produces diamonds, emeralds or lapis. The new distribution is accompanied by custom ore blocks, depth-based tinting, and a reworked cave and density landscape.
The Underworld
A custom Underworld dimension holds the resources the Overworld no longer yields. Its only entrance is the World Breaker, a late-game device that tears open a temporary portal — a deliberate, resource-intensive goal for the end of progression.
Harder survival
Beyond the crafting overhaul, the mod tightens the survival loop: reduced starting health and hunger that scale with experience level, extinguishable torches, faster creepers, lethal poison, milking cooldowns, level-gated villager trading, and hostile mobs that carry the mod's own equipment — including a Shadow that hunts by darkness and destroys light sources.
