Welcome to MistSeas, an atmospheric, survival-exploration mod that plunges your Minecraft world into a blinding, miasmic expanse. Wander into a world swallowed by dense, treacherous fog, toxic waters, and eerie fungal ecosystems. To survive, you must adapt, craft specialized breathing gear, build advanced purification machinery, and prepare to face the terrifying horrors that thrive within the gloom.

🌌 Key Features

😷 The Miasma: Fog & Toxic Survival

The core of MistSeas is its dynamic, creeping fog and environmental hazards. The air itself can become an enemy.

• The Fog Seep: Step into the Mist biomes and watch visibility drop to near zero. Without proper gear, the mist will slowly suffocate or damage unwary explorers.

• Acidic Waters: The oceans and pools here aren't safe. Coming into contact with Acid Blocks or liquid acid will rapidly melt away your health.

• Leather Respirators: Your primary lifeline. Craft and maintain a respirator to filter out toxic spores and breathe safely while exploring the deep fog.

🗺️ Navigation & Cartography

Standard tools won't save you when you can't see past your hand.

• Mist Compasses: Standard compasses spin wildly in the heavy mist. You will need a specialized Mist Compass to find your bearings.

• Misty Maps: Map out the blinding terrain using Blank Misty Maps and specialized cartography mechanics to successfully navigate the fog without getting permanently lost.

🪵 Eerie Flora & New Wood Types

The toxic environment has given rise to strange, resilient forms of life. Discover entirely new ecosystems filled with unique flora:

• Gloom & Mire Ecosystems: Strip down and build with two new complete wood sets: Gloom Wood and Mire Wood, including custom planks, stairs, slabs, fences, and gates.

• Abnormal Vegetation: Harvest Gloom Fungus, Mire Fungus, Ember Lichen, and twisting vines that creep along the porous stone.

• Purified Roses: Rare, beautiful flora that serves a mechanical purpose. Cultivating these roses might just save your life from the entities tracking you down.

⚡ Advanced Metallurgy & Purification

Harness the unique properties of resources buried deep under the crust of the Mist Seas.

• Niobium Ore: Mine this rare material from Porous Stone to craft incredibly sturdy Niobium Blocks, Ingots, and Nuggets.

• Acid-Resistant Transportation: Standard wood rots in these waters. Use Niobium to construct Niobium Boats and Niobium Chest Boats to cross acidic fluids safely.

• Purifier Furnaces: Build a specialized smelting setup to turn rough, contaminated resources like Rough Mist Crystals into clean, powerful Purified Mist Crystals and repair your gear. Watch out, though—running it too hard will leave you with an Exhausted Purifier.

👾 Lurking Horrors: New Mobs

The fog is far from empty. Grotesque creatures have evolved to hunt in total blindness, using sound and scent to track their prey.

🛑 Mist Dweller

A shadowy, stalking entity that wanders the deep mist. It is highly aggressive, but travelers have discovered a strange weakness: Mist Dwellers despise and actively avoid Purified Roses. Plant them around your outposts for protection!

• Fungal Pursuer: A swift, mutated horror covered in spores that will relentlessly chase down anyone invading its territory.

• Mucus Stalker: An ambush predator that blends perfectly into the slimy, fungal overgrowth of the Mire biomes, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
