Minestrappolation 5.3.0A
What's new
New Features
- Added Portal Dust! It's a new soil that generates in the End (not on the main island).
- Portal Dust is mined fastest with a Pickaxe, but doesn't require one to harvest. It also emits portal particles when stepped on or mined.
- Portal Dust and its variants can sustain Clutchthorn, as well as Voidberry Bushes. They cannot, unfortunately, sustain Chorus plants due to a Forge limitation.
- Added Fargrowth. A type of grass that grows on Portal Dust. Can spread to nearby Portal Dust like Grass.
- Like Grass, Fargrowth can be flattened into a Fargrowth Path by right-clicking it with any Shovel.
- Added Coarse Portal Dust. Behaves like Portal Dust, but Fargrowth will not spread to it.
- Added Chordsol. Fargrowth variant that generates around Chorus trees. It pulsates and emits a low light level. Clutchthorn generated on Chordsol has a chance of generating two blocks tall.
- Added Portar. Brick-like item obtained by smelting Portal Dust. Can be crafted into Portar decor blocks.
- Added Slabbed Portar. Crafted with 4 Portar. Can be crafted into Slab & Stair variants.
- Added Fishboned Portar. Crafted with 4 Slabbed Portar Stairs.
- Added Tiled Portar. Crafted with 9 Portar.
- Added Chiseled Portar. Crafted with 2 Slabbed Portar Slabs.
- Added Portar Lamps. Come in Sunstone, Sea Lamp, and Glowstone varieties. Crafted with 4 Chiseled Portar surrounding the respective block.
- Added Slabbed Portar Slabs & Stairs. Crafted like you'd expect.
- Added Polished Purpur. Crafted with 9 Popped Chorus Fruit.
- Added Clutchthorn. Generates like Tall Grass on top of Fargrowth in the End.
- Walking through Clutchthorn slows your movement, and has a chance to deal Cactus-like damage.
- Attempting to harvest Clutchthorn bare-handed also deals half a heart of damage.
- Clutchthorn cannot be broken instantly, unlike most plants. It can, however, be harvested using Shears.
- Added Flowering Clutchthorn. Two-block-tall variant that can be grown by Bone-Mealing Clutchthorn. Also generates naturally on Chordsol, and emits a low light level.
- Added Clutchthorn Fibers. Crafted with 9 Clutchthorn. Used in crafting Dimensional Rope.
- Added Lava Sponges! Generate in Glowstone-like clusters underneath End islands. Can be placed in Lava to absorb it (what a shocker).
- Placing a Molten Lava Sponge in Water will remove its Lava, dropping several Stone Chunks in the process.
- Added Endermite Hives! Generated structures found in the End. Each hive is composed of Hive Husk & Hive Comb blocks, some containing Endermite Honey, and each has an Endermite Eggsack located at its center.
- Endermite Hives have 1-4 openings at their base, and will continuously spawn Endermites, which will attack nearby players as well as attract angry Endermen to the Hive.
- Added Endermite Hive Husk. Decorative blocks that compose the outside of Endermite Hives. Drop Endermite Hive Comb blocks normally, but can be Silk-Touched to get the block itself.
- Added Endermite Hive Comb blocks. Generate on the inside of Endermite Hives. Can be harvested fastest with an Axe.
- Added Honeyed Endermite Hive Husk & Comb blocks. Emit a low light level and can be right-clicked to harvest their Mite Honey. Drop their normal variants normally, but can be Silk-harvested to obtain the Honeyed variant.
- Added Endermite Eggsacks. 1 generates in each Endermite Hive. Drops 5-12 Mite Honey and some XP normally, but can be Silk-harvested to obtain the block itself.
- Endermite Eggsacks will spawn Endermites beneath them over time, making them a good source for XP grinders or attracting nearby Endermen.
- Added Dimensional Rope. Crafted with 6 Clutchthorn Fibers, 2 Mite Honey, and a Dimensium Ingot.
- Dimensional Rope can be placed anywhere with a solid block somewhere above it, even at the sky limit, and will produce a Rope stretching all the way from the ground to that block.
- Breaking any part of this Rope will break the whole thing, dropping as one item near the player.
- Dimensional Rope can be climbed like normal Rope, making it useful for scaling End Cities or exiting Ravines.
- Added Soul Glass. Alloyed with 4 Soul Sand and any type of Quartz. Is an opaque, solid block, but allows light to pass through it like Glass, allowing for hidden light sources.
- Added Tiled Soul Glass. Crafted with 4 Soul Glass.
- Added Pillared Soul Glass. Crafted with 2 Soul Glass.
- Added Blazed Soul Glass. Alloyed with 4 Soul Sand and a Blaze Shard. Behaves like Soul Glass, but is brightly colored and emits a low light level on its own.
- Added Blazed Soul Glass Tiles & Pillars. Act like you'd expect.
- Added Maces! Crafted with 2 Sticks & 3 of any standard weapon material. Slower than Swords, but deal more damage and knock enemies back even without a knockback enchantment.
- Mace knockback scales with each weapon tier, Wood having the least and Titanium having the most.
- Maces can also smash through brittle blocks like Fences, Glass, Leaves, etc almost instantly. They break all blocks 30% faster than your fists as well, though at the cost of 3 durability damage.
- Maces can be enchanted with Efficiency, as well as any Sword enchantment (aside from Sweeping Edge).
- Added Bacon. Alloyed with a Raw Porkchop & Grease. Restores 6 bars of hunger & a lot of saturation.
- Added BLTs. Crafted with Buns, Bacon, Lettuce, & a Tomato. Restores 9 bars of hunger & a boatload of saturation.
- Added Coleslaw. Crafted with a Bowl, Cabbage, a Carrot, a Pepper/Onion, Celery Seeds, and a Bucket of Milk. Restores 5.5 bars of hunger and cures all potion effects.
- Added Melonade. Crafted with 3 Melon Slices, a Glass Bottle, and 1 Sugar. Restores 3 bars of hunger and extinguishes burning players when drunk.
- Added an enormous amount of advancements! These are structured to guide players through the mod in lieu of the currently incomplete Wiki, and include two new advancement pages and a few post-post game challenges for the really intrepid crafters out there.
- Added Silverfish blocks for every M5 Stone variant.
- Added Covered Pipes! Crafted with 4 Chiseled Stone of any type and 1 Pipe. Behaves exactly like a Pipe, but takes up a full block, allowing for much easier hidden item chutes and wiring.
- Added Charwood Limbs. A little buggy at the moment. Generate on Charwood Trees and drop Sticks when broken. Cannot be harvested with Silk Touch.
- Charwood and Soul Eyes are now obtainable in Survival! They generate as odd trees in the Nether. Both are non-renewable, as Charwood Trees have no Leaves or Saplings.
- Charwood Logs can be smelted into 4 Charcoal or crafted into Planks.
- Smoldering Charwood planks can now be crafted using 8 Charwood Planks and 1 Blaze Powder.
- Added Slabs, Stairs, Fences, Fence Gates, & Boats for all M5 Wood Types.
- Added Charwood Doors. Such spoopy.
- Added Glow Paste! Crafted with Void Jam, Hanging Glow Moss, Glowshroom Stew, a Blue Glowshroom, a Sunstone Shard, Glowstone Dust, Prismarine Crystals, Blaze Powder, and Mite Honey.
- Glow Paste can be applied to any solid block to turn it into a hidden light source! Glow Paste is completely invisible and non-minable, but can be removed by placing a block where the Glow Paste was, washing it away with Water, or simply breaking the block it was placed on.
Returning Features
- Re-added Terracreep from M4! Works a bit different than its previous incarnation -- it's now a Vine-like block that can face in all 6 directions and attach to any adjacent Stone blocks.
- Terracreep is no longer limited to raw Stone blocks -- it can now attach to and consume any non-ore block that is made of Stone-like material.
- Terracreep will slowly consume any Stone block it is attached to, dropping it as an item and spreading to more neighboring Stone blocks, acting as a sort of organic quarry.
- Terracreep generates extremely rarely in the End, and can be harvested with Shears.
- Re-added Hanging Glow Moss from M4! Generates under solid blocks in the Nether & End -- more commonly in the Nether, but in larger clusters in the End.
- Hanging Glow Moss will slowly grow downwards, emits a high light level, and can be harvested with Shears.
- Re-added Sorter Pipes from M4! Behave like regular Pipes, but have two slots and two outputs. Most items will be output in the direction the Sorter is facing -- however, if the item matches the item in the Sorter's bottom slot, it will be output downward instead.
- Sorters are crafted with a Pipe, a Hopper, and a Bronze Plating, yielding 2 per craft.
- Added Cobbled and Mossy Cobbled Walls for each M5 Stone variant.
- Re-added Godstone from M4! Burns all undead mobs in a large radius and emits a high light level. Crafted with 1 Endstone, 1 Sunstone Block, 1 Glowstone Block, 1 Sea Lantern, 1 Magma, and 4 Glow Paste.
