Minerarium Expansion

Minerarium Expansion is a mod where you use a new ore to make various contraptions.

CURRENTLY IN ALPHA

The Minerarium Expansion Mod (Currently in Alpha) Is a mod which adds a new Ore, Minerarium (Pronounced Mine-rare-ium or Miner-arium) and some things to do with it, described below. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE share the mod with your friends if you enjoy the mod, i need views and downloads so that my mod is popular and this gives me motivation to continue working on it.

Only for 1.18.2

Currently the mod is available only for the previously unsupported (Previously Unsupported by FORGE! MY PRIOR ARCH NEMISIS) MC version 1.18.x This is because i have other mods (which i didn't make) which ALSO only work on 1.18.2. Namely VS Clockwork, which I'd like to test this mod with (Alpha Version ALREADY TESTED) Once the mod is out of ALPHA i will be updating to MC 1.20, MC 1.19, MC 1.16, MC 1.12, MC 1.7.10 and some other versions in between those (all the versions in between those actually). Now that 1.21 has released (and there's a forge version for it) I will be updating to that version first after completing 1.0 for 1.18.2 as it completes automating MineCraft (This mod automates the Mine, 1.21 automates the Craft)

The Mod Crashes or other issues happen!

I will be adding a GitHub issue tracker SOON, but as there's only 2 people working on this (Programmer and Artist) this isn't really necessary YET. I have already added the standard CurseForge issue tracker which will work until i start transitioning over to GitHub Issues.

Can I use your mod in my Modpack?

Yes, go ahead. As long as you don't make any money, and give me credit for the modpack because of my mod (The CurseForge App does this automatically using a file called modlist.html)

Can I reupload your mod on another site?

No. But you are allowed to distribute the mod by linking to THIS PAGE. It must also give me credit as the original creator of the mod. You are allowed to update the mod yourself if you want but it must be labeled as Unoffical (without my direct permission) and link back here. (it also must include at least part of the original name in your mod's name, but that's less restrictive)

Will you upload to Modrinth???

Not yet. I will upload on Modrinth when there is enough community support in the comments section and/or the issues page.

I've got a Question!

Send them on the issues page, make sure to label them as Questions.

I use fabric, where should I go?

Tell me that you use fabric in comments, or label not having a fabric version as an a issue. Once the mod comes out of alpha for Forge, i will start trying to make a Fabric version, although it will stay in Alpha there much longer than it originally will.

What does it actually do?

Well i am still working on it, but i can give you glimpses into the future of the mod (May Or May Not Be Real Fortune Telling) and i can also show the recipies for some of the items i have already implemented. One Problem, the mod actually doesn't work, the uploaded version is an outdated version. Issue in the Issues Page!

Future Minerarium Applications

Minerarium is HEAVILY connected to Pickaxes, Mining, and Caves. With Minerarium you'll (eventually) be able to make miners to automatically mine blocks and return them to your base (currently not done by competitors) You'll also be able to make Hand Drills (Even further into the future) which will allow breaking blocks faster. New Enchantments will also be coming to spice up mining. I haven't thought of all of them yet, but here are some ideas:

  • Drilling - Fortune and Efficiency in one, this enchantment can only be applied to Drills
  • Curse of Wide Use - Drill Specific curse which applies itself to drills when the drill is used, chance of success based on durability.
  • Heated Tip - The enchanted Drill has a chance of auto-smelting the  items it mines, chance based on enchantment level.
  • Cooling Coat - Incompatible with Heated Tip, this enchantment makes the Drill resistant to Lava, like Netherite Items, Tools, etc. Also partially protects you from Fire/Lava, while on the hotbar.
  • Dropping - Makes a bridge of stone blocks for easily crossing pits/ravines/caves etc. Has a chance to use items from the inventory, chance based on enchantment level.

These enchantment can also be applied to the Drill Block, by giving it an Enchanted Book (even further into the future than Hand Drills) and did-enchanted by taking the book back out. (Book slot will hold enchantment for the drill)

Present Minerarium Applications

As i said earlier, before that fortune telling, i would be showing you some recipes. Well, the version uploaded to curseforge (the only version i have which works) doesn't have all the recipes it should have. I can however show you how the recipes will look by putting the recipes in a format similar to how i code them right here (after i make it visible to those who are allergic to code)

Firstly, Minerarium Ore and Deepslate Minerarium Ore, which don't spawn in the world yet (comming once someone tells me how to do that) (Nether and End versions not implemented yet) drop Raw Minerarium, which can be smelted 2 different ways, as with all Raw Ores, but Raw Minerarium is special. It smelts 2 ways into 2 different products, Minerarium Ingot and Burnt Minerarium Ingot. Burnt Minerarium Ingots will be used for some future processes to convert it to Minerarium Ingots, although that isn't implemented yet. (In the latest, broken version, it can be used as fuel, as if it was hot from being burnt, but this is only until i implement the future processes, or other things to do with the burnt ingot.)

Regular Ingots take 5 seconds to smelt, while

Burnt Ingots take 2 and a half seconds to burn.

These are the only smelting recipes in the whole mod (subject to change)

Then we can convert Minerarium Ingots into Blocks and Nuggets:

Shaped Crafting:

           III

           III

           III

I = Minerarium Ingot

Result: Minerarium Block

9 Minerarium Ingots make a block and

Shapeless Crafting:

1 Minerarium Ingot -> 9 Minerarium Nuggets

Minerarium Nuggets have no use yet other than to turn back into ingots, with the same shape as the Minerarium Blocks, just with Ingots replaced with Nuggets and Blocks:

Shaped Crafting:

           III

           III

           III

I = Minerarium Nugget

Result: Minerarium Ingot

However, the Minerarium blocks can (currently) only be used for decorative purposes, and Minerarium isn't very good for Decorative purposes. They can also be turned back into Ingots like this:

Shapeless Crafting:

1 Minerarium Block -> 9 Minerarium Ingots

Minerarium Ingots can also be made into Minerarium Rods

Shaped Crafting:

           I
  I
I = Minerarium Nugget

You may also notice that this is a Shaped Crafting Recipe. This means that crafting a Minerarium Rod requires to be placed in the center on the bottom of the crafting grid.
Due to limitations in the code, this recipe can't be made in the 2x2 crafting grid in your inventory (haven't tested, just assumed)
It can also be made into Poles, or as the game calls them, Minerarium Rod Blocks. (Only implemented in the latest, broken version) Yes i did tell the game to tell everyone that it is a Minerarium Pole,
even though i also told it to call it a Minerarium Rod Block (but also to keep that to itself).
Recipe for that:

Shaped Crafting:

           III

           III

           III

I = Minerarium Rod

Result: Minerarium Pole

The pole currently doesn't have a texture either. But i haven't gotten my colleague (Who designed all the working textures) to make that one yet, and i also have no idea how to make it the shape i want it to be (A Pole)

Minerarium can also be made into Swords, Pickaxes and Shovels. Why no Axe or Hoe? Well, that's because those tools are barely ever used when mining. Although if you have some other modifications, there may be some wooden structures down there which you may want to use axes for, and also maybe a farm of some sort that you want to use a hoe with, the mod was originally (and still is) designed for standalone use (Use without other mods is first priority, Use with other mods is second priority)

Recipes for Swords, Pickaxes and Shovels (Broken in uploaded version):

Shaped Crafting:

            I

            I

            /

I = Minerarium Ingot

/ = Minerarium Rod

Result: Minerarium Sword

Shaped Crafting:

           III

            /

            /

I = Minerarium Ingot

/ = Minerarium Rod

Result: Minerarium Pickaxe

Shaped Crafting:

            I

            /

            /

I = Minerarium Ingot

/ = Minerarium Rod

Result: Minerarium Shovel

So, there you have it. That's all i have implemented right now in the mod, concept art for future things will be progressed on soon. (hopefully)
