MinePersist prevents block-breaking progress from resetting when you switch the item in your hand. In vanilla Minecraft, changing hotbar slots (scroll wheel / number keys) interrupts mining and the block damage progress is lost. With this mod, you can continue mining the same block from where you left off.

How it works (high level)

When block breaking is interrupted (e.g., by changing the held item), the mod stores the current breaking progress for that block.
When you start breaking the same block again shortly after, the mod restores that stored progress and continues from that point.
A small timeout prevents progress from being kept indefinitely if you walk away or switch targets.

Recommended to install on both client and server:

Server: ensures the actual breaking logic continues correctly
Client: ensures the crack animation/visual progress does not reset
