What's new
MineFantasy II 2.8.15
Backported from MineFantasy Reforged
- Kitchen bench - a full station: 3D model and renderer, GUI, station icon, knowledge entry, a dirt mechanic and a set of food recipes. Scriptable through CraftTweaker.
- Transformation recipes - chop logs into planks, saw planks into slabs, hammer cobble into stone bricks. Gated by a master config switch plus per-recipe toggles.
- Slab family, metal bars, limestone brick slab.
- Roads now grant a speed boost while walked on.
- Vanilla tools, weapons and armor are prefixed Crude, so they read apart from forged gear.
- Support for custom stones, and for removing blast furnace recipes.
Balance
- Reworked wood stats and stamina costs on heavy weapons.
- Sticks burn for 15 seconds in a firepit instead of 30.
- Crucible temperatures rebalanced.
- Bar ↔ ingot conversion no longer grants experience.
- The quality system finally applies - a stack size guard had been suppressing it entirely.
- Haft durability now contributes to a tool's overall durability.
- Encrusted and obsidian materials occupy distinct niches.
- Minotaurs lob bombs at their target, with throw chance per breed.
- Ancient dragons can spawn again.
Multiplayer
- Network layer reworked: every inbound packet is validated server-side, and truncated ones are rejected without throwing.
- Extended reach traces from the server's eye position rather than the feet.
- Dodging is tied to a jump the server observed itself and spends once per jump.
- Containers and GUIs reworked against exploits; 32-bit values travel as two halves instead of being truncated to 16 bits.
- Block destruction from AoE, shockwaves, cogwork and dragon breath goes through BreakEvent and respects mobGriefing.
- Strict validation on the ammo box.
- Duplication and item loss
- Container items are returned per unit actually consumed, not one per slot.
- Plain bombs no longer inherit stickiness from the output stack.
- Salvage chance is rolled once per component.
- Repairing preserves item data.
- Fixed a reload dupe, the stamina base value, ammo box capacity and bed roll placement.
- The rack marks itself dirty on every content change.
Performance
- Benches broadcast state only when it changes, instead of every tick.
- Big furnace fuel and progress no longer trigger chunk broadcasts - the GUI already tracks them.
- Idle carpenter and kitchen benches stop rescanning the recipe registry.
- Dragon target selection no longer shifts the candidate list per rejection.
- Crucible structure cache, change-driven sync for the bloomery and research table, blast furnace fire throttling.
- Roads use vanilla tile description packets instead of polling once a minute.
World generation
- Fixed the neighbour check when generating ore veins.
- Stronghold grid size is bounded, and markers no longer force-load chunks.
- Corrected chest facing in generated structures.
Saves
Tile and entity state survives chunk reloads. Anvil and carpenter progress is restored after loading instead of being zeroed on the second tick. Arrow tile coordinates and block id are stored as integers - modded blocks and far-out coordinates no longer get truncated. Knowledge data returns correctly after a layer wipe.
CraftTweaker and NEI
- Expanded recipe integrations; ingredients match through IIngredient, honouring NBT.
- An ingredient can require several items from one cell, and the benches now actually consume them.
- Script actions are undoable: alloy add and remove, recipe replacement, and removal that restores original list positions.
- The carbon fuel API is registered.
- NEI: scripted alloy ingredients are shown, the carpenter's full 4×4 grid is displayed, salvage outputs laid out 3 wide by 4 tall, plus handler and translation fixes.
