Minecolonies - Stop Complaining

Disables only the MineColonies citizen complaint about walking a long way home from work, without changing happiness, pathfinding, or AI behavior.

No Colonies Long Commute

Tired of MineColonies citizens complaining that they have to walk a long way home from work? This lightweight compatibility mod removes only that notification — nothing else.

What it does

MineColonies workers can complain when their home is far from their workplace and they cannot reach it before night ends:

"I have to walk a long way home from work every day. It would be nice if I could live somewhere closer."

No Colonies Long Commute suppresses that complaint via a targeted Mixin patch. Citizens still go to sleep, work, and pathfind normally — they simply stop nagging about the commute.

What it does not change

  • Happiness system (hunger, housing, safety, unemployment, etc.)
  • Pathfinding or travel behavior
  • Citizen AI, jobs, or work routines
  • Colony mechanics, raids, or guards
  • Any other citizen chat or notifications

How it works

This is a standalone patch mod. It does not modify, fork, or recompile MineColonies. At runtime, it intercepts the single notification trigger inside CitizenSleepHandler.shouldGoSleep() — the method responsible for this specific complaint.
