Description

MineChemistry

MineChemistry is a technology-focused NeoForge mod that turns ordinary Minecraft resources into a research, chemistry, and automation system inspired by real-world materials. Analyze resources, record discoveries in your personal Research Journal, decompose researched items into chemical samples, and use those samples to synthesize new materials or produce compounds in the Chemical Reactor. Build a powered laboratory and automate it using tiered energy, item, and fluid networks.

Core Features

Chemical Analyzer - examines supported Minecraft and MineChemistry materials and records their chemical profiles in the Research Journal. Research Journal - a player-bound interactive guide containing discovered materials, chemical compositions, formulas, machine and component pages, recipes, generator information, search tools, and an interactive periodic table. Every journal owned by the same player shares their discoveries. Decomposer - converts researched materials into up to six primary elemental or compound samples. Supported compounds can also be broken down into simpler substances. Synthesizer - combines discovered chemical samples to recreate Minecraft and MineChemistry materials. Recipe locking and ghost slot filters prevent unwanted ingredients and products. Chemical Reactor - combines element samples into compound samples using data-driven reactions, FE energy, input filters, and recipe locking. Electric Furnace - processes all standard Minecraft smelting recipes in 100 ticks while consuming 40 FE/t. Combustion Generator - burns standard furnace fuels and provides FE energy to nearby machines and cable networks. Geothermal Generator - produces 80 FE/t from lava, stores up to 8,000 mB, and accepts lava from buckets, pumps, tanks, and Fluid Cables. Fuel Cell Generator - consumes hydrogen and oxygen samples in a 2:1 ratio to produce energy and water as a byproduct. Energy Bank - stores up to 250,000 FE, transfers up to 160 FE/t, and supports configurable input and output sides. Fluid Pump and Tanks - collect, transport, and store water or lava. The pump can trace flowing fluid to the farthest connected full source block.

Automation and Logistics

MineChemistry provides three separate tiers of Energy, Item, and Fluid Cables: Makeshift - 10 FE/t, 1 item/t, or 25 mB/t. Basic - 40 FE/t, 4 items/t, or 100 mB/t. Reinforced - 160 FE/t, 16 items/t, or 400 mB/t. Different cable tiers do not connect directly. Individual connections support IN, OUT, IN/OUT, and disabled modes, configured using the Service Wrench. Basic Item Cable Filters provide a two-item whitelist. Advanced Item Cable Filters provide nine patterns, whitelist and blacklist modes, tag matching, and optional stack-data ignoring without consuming template items.

Chemistry Content

The current version includes: 226 analysis and decomposition profiles. 76 elemental and compound samples. 42 Chemical Reactor recipes. Chemistry content includes metals, nonmetals, minerals, oxides, sulfides, salts, water, cellulose, glucose, sucrose, lignin, polyisoprene, and many other substances. Tin, lead, nickel, and silver include complete material sets with regular and deepslate ores, raw metals, ingots, nuggets, storage blocks, world generation, smelting recipes, synthesis recipes, and chemical profiles. Chemical profiles are data-driven and contain formulas, composition percentages, descriptions, confidence values, and decomposition products. The chemistry is simplified for gameplay while remaining inspired by real materials and compounds.

Research and Progression

The Research Journal contains categories for Analysis, Machines, Components, Energy, Transport, Chemicals, and Other. It provides separate lists for discovered elements and compounds, an interactive periodic table, searchable formulas, reaction recipes, decomposition products, and direct navigation between related pages. The mod includes 17 advancements covering research, decomposition, synthesis, machines, energy generation, automation, fluid networks, and laboratory development. The Chemist villager profession uses the Chemical Analyzer as its workstation and offers five levels of chemistry-themed trades.

Additional Features

Optional inventory sorting supports A-Z, Z-A, ascending quantity, and descending quantity modes while preserving durability, enchantments, components, and other stack data. Shift-drag quick transfer allows multiple server-authoritative inventory operations while respecting restricted slots, machine outputs, ghost filters, and recipe locks. Optional enhanced dropped-item rendering makes blocks use full 3D models and gives regular items shallow spatial models with simplified physical movement. MineChemistry includes complete English and Polish localization, custom interfaces, models, machine states, and high-resolution textures.

Optional Integrations

Just Enough Items adds recipe categories for material decomposition, compound decomposition, synthesis, Chemical Reactor reactions, and Fuel Cell Generator energy production. JEI is optional and is not required to launch MineChemistry. Optional compatibility declarations are also included for FTB Quests, FTB Teams, FTB Chunks, and FTB Ultimine.
