Description
Minesis
Overview
Minesis is a multiplayer horror mod that introduces a deceptive entity designed to break trust between players in your Minecraft world. It only appears in multiplayer sessions and requires multiple players to function properly.
The entity is capable of copying any connected player’s appearance and name with high accuracy. However, it does not freely move inside player groups. Instead, it operates at a distance, observing and acting subtly while blending into the world.
When it gets close enough to a player, it reveals its true nature, instantly transforming and becoming hostile. This sudden shift turns every encounter into a potential trap, forcing players to stay alert at all times.
Minesis can also repeat phrases it has previously heard from players, adding an extra layer of psychological tension. When combined with Simple Voice Chat, it can further deepen the sense of uncertainty during interactions.
Rather than directly infiltrating groups, Minesis behaves more like a distant impostor that prepares its attack from afar before striking when conditions are right.
This mod is built entirely for multiplayer gameplay. The more players are present, the more unpredictable and dangerous the entity becomes. Communication, positioning, and trust are all put under pressure.
Minesis is not just a hostile mob. It is a system built to generate paranoia, doubt, and constant questioning of who is real and who is not.
Spawn Mechanics
The Minesis has strict spawning conditions to maintain its rarity and tension. It will only spawn at the surface, away from caves and underground areas. Only one Minesis can exist in the world at any given time.
Before spawning, the mod requires the entity to collect at least 200 voice samples from players using Simple Voice Chat. These samples are used to enable its speech imitation behavior, meaning it cannot appear until enough player audio has been gathered.
Additionally, there is a global cooldown of 10 minutes between each possible spawn attempt. Even if all other conditions are met, the system will not allow a new Minesis to appear until this delay has passed.
These restrictions ensure that encounters are rare, delayed, and unpredictable, reinforcing the psychological horror aspect of the mod.
