Metals and Machines 2

After a little bit of a hiatus, I'm finally back. I've been working on version 2 for a couple of weeks now (as of september 2025) and I'm ready to release it. This version has a lot of added features compared to the previous 2 versions (v1 beta and 1.0.1), so be sure to look at the changelog for the specifics. Alright, now I'll talk about what's new.

What's New

Speed and Energy Modules:

You can now augment select machines with Speed and Energy modules. In machines that require power to operate, you will find 2 slots, one for a speed module, and one for energy. You can put multiple of the same modules in there (like a full stack), however the effects of the module will not stack. Energy producers such as the Solar Panel or Water Turbine only accept Speed Modules without any negatives currently (this may or may not change). Speed modules will increase the speed of the energy transfer rate to the machine, as well as the energy production rate.

New and Reworked Machines

The Press now exists in Metals and Machines 2. It uses energy to produce plates and other recipes.

The Iron Metal Refinery is a variant that uses heat from a campfire to melt stuff into more stuff (check JEI)

The Kreynium Metal Refinery is the "main" refinery. It uses power instead of a campfire and can be augmented with modules. Can only be powered by a water turbine currently.

The Radiation Chamber is used for making zosnite specifically (and probably other things in the future). Also uses power ect. ect.

New Items and Stuff™

Added a lot of stuff. Check the changelog for specifics. Something to note is that the Gold, diamond, and netherite plates don't do anything. I may or may not remove them in the next update (coming in 1-2 business years)

What's Next

I'm probably going to work on advancements next to allow players to properly progress through the mod.
