I made Menu Music because I wanted to listen to my own music in Minecraft without having to keep switching to another app.
You can add as many songs as you want, make playlists using folders, and pick songs from inside the mod menu. It also remembers your song, position, playlist, pause state, and volume after restarting Minecraft.
Features
Add your own music
Make multiple playlists using folders
Browse and choose songs inside Minecraft
Play, pause, skip, go back, and switch playlists with keybinds
Keybinds work in-game
Crossfade between songs
Shuffle and repeat
Change the volume of each song
Search for songs and add favorites
Now Playing overlay in the bottom-right
Remembers everything after restarting
Doesn’t restart or skip songs when joining servers or switching server lobbies
Option to play normal Minecraft music when Menu Music is paused
Built-in instruction pages that explain how everything works
Client-side only, so you can use it on servers
Adding songs
Menu Music only supports real Ogg Vorbis .ogg files.
MP3 and WAV files will not work, and just changing .mp3 to .ogg does not convert the song.
Open Menu Music → Instructions or click Open music folder, put your .ogg songs inside, and press Reload songs.
Making playlists
Making playlists is really easy. Just create folders inside the Menu Music music folder:
music/ ├── Chill/ │ └── calm-song.ogg ├── Gaming/ │ └── action-song.ogg └── normal-song.ogg
Every folder becomes its own playlist. You can switch playlists from the song menu or with the playlist keybind.
Default controls
P — Play or pause N — Next song B — Previous song M — Open Menu Music L — Switch playlist
You can change every keybind in Minecraft’s control settings.
I hope you enjoy the mod! I put a lot into fixing the annoying bugs and making it feel like the music is actually part of Minecraft.
