Mekv adds three Mekanism-style factories for Easy Villagers: trading, farming, and iron golem production. They use energy and have configurable item input and output sides.
Trading Factory
Insert an Easy Villagers villager item and a valid workstation, select an available offer, then supply energy and trading materials. The factory performs the trade and places the result in its output slots.
Each processing lane has its own input slot, output slot, trade selection, and pause control. You can run the same offer across several lanes or assign different offers from the same villager. Global trade selection applies to empty, idle lanes; a lane containing materials or a trade in progress keeps its current offer.
Automatic input distribution shares matching materials between eligible lanes in complete transaction amounts. It also consolidates idle leftovers. For example, with a trade costing 4 iron, several lanes holding only 3 iron each can have their materials combined rather than staying blocked individually. Inputs reserved for running trades are preserved, and paused lanes keep their materials until resumed.
Without an Infinite Trade Upgrade, the factory follows villager stock limits and must wait for restocking when an offer sells out.
Farming Factory
Insert a villager and a supported seed or planting item, then supply energy. The factory handles crop growth and harvesting internally and collects the results in its output slots. It does not require an outdoor field.
Higher tiers increase output parallelism. Speed upgrades shorten the processing time, while Energy and Muffling upgrades let you adjust energy use and sound. The window shows the villager and crop inside, and the interface displays growth progress.
Iron Golem Factory
Insert a villager and supply energy to run iron golem production cycles. Drops are collected in the machine's output slots and can be extracted through the configured output sides.
Higher tiers increase output parallelism. Like the Farming Factory, it supports Speed, Energy, and Muffling upgrades. The glass window shows the internal scene, and the interface displays the production cycle's progress.
Tiers and Upgrades
All three factory types have four base tiers:
| Tier | Trading lanes / output parallelism |
|---|---|
| Basic | 3 |
| Advanced | 5 |
| Elite | 7 |
| Ultimate | 9 |
Installing Mekanism Extras adds Absolute, Supreme, Cosmic, and Infinite factories and their recipes. Extras is optional: without it, the four base tiers remain available. There are 12 factories without Extras and 24 with it.
Trading lane counts describe independent processes. Farming and iron golem parallelism increases output per cycle; it does not mean the cycle itself becomes shorter by the same factor.
Factories can be upgraded through crafting or with the matching tier installer while sneaking and right-clicking a placed machine. Check in-game recipes for the required materials.
| Factory | Supported upgrades |
|---|---|
| Trading | Infinite Trade Upgrade |
| Farming and Iron Golem | Speed, Energy, Muffling |
The Infinite Trade Upgrade bypasses villager stock limits. Materials and energy are still consumed, and the upgrade does not lock the villager's prices. Install or remove upgrades through the upgrade window, or install a supported upgrade by sneaking and right-clicking with it.
A Few Things to Know
Each trading lane has one input slot, so trades that cost two different item types are not supported yet. To change a lane's offer, let its current trade finish and clear its input first.
Automatic distribution must be enabled to consolidate leftovers. If the total remaining input is genuinely smaller than the cost of one trade, it waits for more materials. Materials in paused lanes are not included until those lanes resume.
Back up your world before removing Mekanism Extras. Higher-tier factory blocks and items will no longer be registered without it.
