MediaFrames 0.2.0-alpha.3 (NeoForge 1.21.1)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
MediaFrames 0.2.0-alpha.3 (Alpha)
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.x, Java 21. Required on server and clients.
- Fixed floor and ceiling frames: the back plate was rotated the wrong way (floating one-block frame on the floor, hanging frame on the ceiling). This bug also existed in earlier versions.
- Several videos at once: H.264 is now preferred over AV1/VP9, FFmpeg hardware decoding is attempted (
hardwareDecodingclient option, software fallback), and AUTO quality adapts to frame size and to the number of running videos. Three simultaneous videos measured playing on a Windows PC. - Images by URL: new
allowImgurserver option (defaulttrue), other hosts through the allowlist. HTTPS only, 20 MB and 30 s limits, local cache. GIF and gifv/mp4 loop, static images stay displayed. - Behavior change:
allowYouTube=falsenow blocks only YouTube. - New simpler frame screen (simple mode by default, advanced mode optional); changes apply immediately.
- Create trains: fixed late joiners replaying from the assembly position; the client now logs a clear warning when the Create addon is missing.
- Known limits: YouTube may ask to "confirm you're not a bot" after many attempts; real Imgur albums, Sodium/Iris and other mods are untested.
Requires: NeoForge 21.1.x. Optional addon: MediaFrames: Create Compat 0.1.0-alpha.2.
