What's new
ME Trading Terminal 1.0.3 — Initial Release
ME Trading Terminal connects villager trading directly to Applied Energistics 2, allowing villager offers to become unattended network operations and AE2 autocrafting patterns.
Features
T1 — ME Trade Interface
- Houses one villager.
- Supports independent continuous and stock-keeping automation for each offer.
- Automatically draws exact trade inputs from ME storage and returns results to the network.
T2 — Auto Trade Interface
- Exposes multiple villager offers as native AE2 processing patterns.
- Allows villager trades to participate in normal AE2 autocrafting jobs.
- Patterns preserve item components, enchantments, quantities, and configured emerald costs.
T3 — Trading Array
- Houses up to six villagers in independent slots.
- Supports per-offer automation modes, stock targets, and AE2 pattern exposure.
- Uses fair round-robin scheduling across villagers and offers.
- Added an in-world, server-authoritative configuration screen.
- Added the reusable Villager Trade Pattern setup item.
- Added a dedicated Creative Mode tab containing all blocks and items.
- Added profession workstation icons and duplicate-profession numbering to the Trading Array interface.
- Enchanted-book offers display their enchantment names and levels.
Villager Handling
- Added a native, non-stackable Villager Carrier with complete villager persistence.
- Supports safe villager capture, housing, release, and machine-removal evacuation.
- Unemployed villagers and nitwits are rejected without consuming the source item.
- Optional integration with Easy Villagers allows filled villager items to be inserted directly into interfaces and arrays.
Array Link
- Added owner-bound Array Links and reusable Link Cards.
- Provides secure remote access to a same-dimension Trading Array.
- Uses stable target identities to prevent replaced blocks from hijacking existing links.
- Supports configurable, bounded target-chunk loading.
- The linked Trading Array remains the only AE2 crafting provider; links do not duplicate patterns.
Progression and Balance
- Added optional FTB Quests placement gates for T1, T2, and T3.
- Quest requirements can be configured using friendly quest names.
- Quest gating is disabled by default and fails closed when enabled but unresolved.
- Added configurable:
- Emerald cost multiplier
- Villager trade cooldown
- Automated restock interval
- Machine evaluation interval
- Denied trade results
- Denied offer signatures
- Array Link distance and chunk-loading limits
- Automated Mending trades are denied by default.
Compatibility
- Added optional Almost Unified integration for canonicalized trade outputs.
- Canonicalization preserves stack counts and complete item components.
- Enchanted books are protected from inappropriate material unification.
- Native AE2 processing patterns preview correctly with ExtendedAE 2.2.35.
Reliability and Safety
- Trade results enter durable pending state before delivery to ME storage.
- Added write-ahead transaction journals for T1, T2, and every T3 villager slot.
- Partial network insertion preserves and retries the undelivered remainder.
- Interrupted or ambiguous transactions fail closed and preserve diagnostic evidence.
- Unsafe machines stop automation until an operator inspects and reconciles them.
- Unsafe state cannot be silently reset while unresolved transaction evidence remains.
- Safe machine removal evacuates housed villagers and accepted pending output.
