MCHeli Rework
Helicopters, planes, tanks and ground vehicles for modern Minecraft on Forge.
MCHeli Rework brings back MCHeli 1.0.3 by EMB4, the helicopter mod that stopped at Minecraft 1.7.10. Every system is rewritten for the modern game: flight models, weapons, damage, HUDs, rendering and networking. The original vehicles, models, textures and sounds are used unchanged, from your own copy of the original download (see Installing).

Coming in 1.1.0
1.1.0 is being built in public betas. Betas are not uploaded here; try them from the GitHub releases and report what you find. Back up your world first.
- Night glow: tracers, rocket motors, flares and explosions light up the night, and a crash
keeps burning for 30 seconds. Turn it off per player in
config/mcheli-client.toml. - Steadier vehicles under fire: no more red flash or jolt when a vehicle you fly is hit.
- Server settings and commands:
serverconfig/mcheli-server.toml(block damage, fires, vehicle toughness, infinite ammunition, disabled vehicles) and/mchelito list, give and reload vehicles. - Planned: content packs synced to multiplayer clients, more Minecraft versions, equipment, and an in-game vehicle workshop.

Installing
This mod's file contains only the mod's code. The vehicles are EMB4's original content, which you download yourself from the original project:
- Install Forge for your Minecraft version (see Supported versions) and put this mod in your
modsfolder. - Download MC1.7.10_mcheli_1.0.3.zip from the MCHeli Minecraft Helicopter Mod Files tab.
- Create a folder called
mchelinext tomodsand put the zip in it. Do not unzip it, and do not put it inmods.
.minecraft/
mods/mcheli-<minecraft version>-<mod version>.jar
mcheli/MC1.7.10_mcheli_1.0.3.zip
- Start the game. The first start converts the zip, which takes a few seconds. If the zip is missing, the game still starts and the chat tells you where to put it.
Servers need the same two files.
Controls
Take a vehicle from the MCHeli creative tabs, right-click a block to place it and right-click the vehicle to board. W/S throttle, mouse to fly, Space for hover (helicopters), B for landing gear, use key to fire, G to switch weapons, H for gunner mode. Every key can be rebound under Controls, category MCHeli. The full list is in the README.
FAQ
Why do I have to download the original separately? The original vehicles are EMB4's work and All Rights Reserved. This way nothing of theirs is redistributed, and the original project keeps its downloads.
Does it work with old MCHeli add-on packs? Not yet. Content packs and an in-game vehicle workshop are planned for 1.1.0 (see Coming in 1.1.0).
Other Minecraft versions? See Supported versions above. More versions, older and newer, are planned.
