What's new
Changes
Ported the vehicle-focused metallurgy system from Xenofactions into MCHeli.
- Added the coal-fired Blast Furnace for producing steel from iron and carbon.
- Added the Steel Foundry for melting steel and casting vehicle components.
- Both machines use dedicated multiblock structures, inventories, GUIs, persistent processing state, and optional NEI integration.
Ported seven Xenofactions vehicle-part casts into MCHeli:
- Grate — 3 steel
- Large Spring — 3 steel
- Light Armor Plate — 5 steel
- Light Ship Hull — 15 steel
- Basic Mechanic Parts — 4 steel
- Rims — 3 steel
- Track Piece — 2 steel
- These parts are now produced through reusable foundry casts instead of direct crafting shortcuts.
Ported the original Xenofactions metallurgy machine visuals.
- Includes the full Blast Furnace and Steel Foundry models.
- Includes furnace material fill, moving foundry crucible, molten-steel pouring, and full multiblock-sized rendering.
Added proper external material compatibility.
- MCHeli now accepts legitimate aluminum, steel, depleted uranium, and other supported materials from compatible mods without exposing its own fallback materials as generic progression substitutes.
- When RTM or HBM is installed, those mods retain ownership of aluminum, steel, and depleted uranium production.
Added support for bulk petroleum-based vehicle fuel.
- Compatible processed petroleum fuels can now be used as high-volume MCHeli fuel sources.
- Fuel value accounts for energy, grade, and container volume.
- Supports portable fuel containers and finite gas-pump cargo.
- Surplus fuel is retained and empty containers are returned.
Improved fuel-can handling.
- Matching fuel cans can stack up to 16.
- Partial fuel amounts persist correctly.
- Refilling or equipping uses one can from a stack as needed.
- Added an iron-only recipe for empty fuel cans.
- Existing coal-based fuel remains available where compatible.
Removed progression-bypassing material routes when external tech mods provide the real production chain.
- MCHeli no longer provides alternate aluminum, steel, or depleted uranium production when RTM/HBM is responsible for those materials.
- Standalone installations retain MCHeli's normal material production.
Updated material, fuel, metallurgy, and compatibility documentation.
