MCBraziers — Bring a Little More Fire to Minecraft
MCBraziers is a lightweight Vanilla+ decorative mod that brings customizable braziers to Minecraft. Choose from different materials, flame colors, and mounting styles to add warmth, atmosphere, and character to your builds.
Whether you're illuminating a medieval castle, decorating a Nether fortress, building an elaborate fire pit, or simply looking for something more interesting than a torch, MCBraziers offers new ways to bring fire into your world.
Features
Seven Material Options — Six Functional Tiers
Craft braziers using Copper, Iron, Diamond, Obsidian, Crying Obsidian, Prismarine, or Netherite.
Each material offers its own appearance, while the tiers provide different functional properties:
- Copper: An affordable starting option that naturally oxidizes and can be waxed or scraped.
- Iron: Cooks food 1.25× faster than a campfire.
- Diamond: Cooks food 1.5× faster.
- Obsidian & Crying Obsidian: Two distinct appearances sharing the same explosion-proof tier, with 1.5× cooking speed.
- Prismarine: Cooks food 1.5× faster and can remain lit underwater.
- Netherite: Cooks food 2× faster, resists explosions and water, and its dropped item survives lava.
Four Flame Colors
Choose from four fire types:
- Orange — Classic campfire flames
- Blue — Soul fire
- Green — Copper campfire flames
- Purple — Amethyst campfire flames
Each fire type offers its own atmosphere and light level.
Flexible Placement
Braziers can be placed on the ground, mounted on walls, or suspended from ceilings and chains. Arrange floor or wall braziers together to create connected fire pits and continuous displays.
Vanilla-Inspired Mechanics
MCBraziers builds on familiar Minecraft behavior:
- Cook up to four food items at once, just like a campfire.
- Open and close floor brazier grates.
- Experience natural copper oxidation, waxing, and axe scraping.
- Place new decorative bars that connect like vanilla iron bars.
- Craft new Copper and Amethyst Campfires.
Everything is designed to feel like a natural extension of Minecraft rather than a completely separate system.
