• Keep guard confrontation background drawing separate from widget rendering, the countdown and the menu-displayed acknowledgment. Retain Forge 1.20.1's explicit background call and add the same rendering regression checks as the NeoForge port, where reentering Screen.render() from renderBackground() caused a stack overflow reported when surrendering.
