What's new

[1.5.2] - Unreleased — Dialogue Style Options

Added

  • Added three dialogue styles:

    • Current — the full responsive Conversations interface.
    • Minimal — a simpler version with reduced graphics and no live villager portrait.
    • Original MCA — restores MCA Reborn's native dialogue interface.

  • Added dialogueMenuStyle to the client config for choosing between styles.

Changed

  • The Original MCA interface is now a proper selectable style instead of relying on the older numberedResponses setting.
  • motionMode = OFF now clearly disables all dialogue animations.
  • Minimal mode uses lighter animations and reduced visual effects.
  • The Current dialogue card now uses a cleaner translucent background while retaining vanilla-style controls.

Fixed

  • Fixed the Conversations response card disappearing after leaving dialogue open for an extended period, which could expose MCA's original response list and reject the next selection.

Compatibility

  • Existing numberedResponses = false configs still restore the Original MCA interface.
  • Existing motion settings remain unchanged.
  • Network protocol remains at 2.
  • No save, datapack, or server config changes.
